I was about to get mad that Otis Taylor wasn't an option until I read the post.

I voted for Willie Davis because he went to the same school as me.

Carlos Carson and Stephon Paige were both pretty good. I certainly still wish they were in their prime on the team we have now.

Derrick Alexander had a ton of pure talent but was a headcase.
Its too bad, because he definately had the talent to be a top NFL WR.

I voted for Willie Davis because he went to the same school as me.I'll always like Willie Davis, if for no other reason than that TD he caught from Montana in Mile High. That was a classic game.

Good Chiefs receivers who are not on your list:
Frank Pitts, Frank Jackson, Gloster Richardson, JJ Birden, Tim Barnett.

Tim Barnett.

Tim Barnett? Why? Because he made 1 memorable catch?

that is the worst list of best wide receivers i have ever seen.Yeah, it's not exactly pretty, is it?

Hopefully Bowe can climb up that list quickly. It's not quite the challenge it might be on certain other teams.

I remember that monster catch and run he made against the Vikings on MNF. May have been 1999?
He would've been amazing if he had more speed.

The sad truth here is that Gonzalez is our best receiver ever. And he's a TE.

Other than that, you're right.

Yea, that was incredible.

He also had this knack for dropping routine catches but making spectacular plays.

Or he would disappear for a long time, and then re-appear to pick up some "garbage time" catches.

I'd take Dwayne Bowe over all of those players on that list.

No Chiefs WR ever had a better season than Alexander - he deserves mention for that. EK comes close. But its pretty telling how few all-stars are on that list after 40 years of pro football.

Gotta go with Paige. I was at the game that he set the NFL record for receiving yards. He was unstoppable that day. IIRC, he sat out most of the 4th quarter.
