I won $25 last night on a $3 Kansas Cash ticket. This is the second time I've won $25 in the past 5 days. Hopefully this is a trend, but I doubt it.

Heh I know you won't like it, but truthfully, the lottery is for people who can't do math and unfortunately a tax on the people that generally can least afford it.

I never said that I played it religiously. I mostly agree with you regardless.

Sometimes i do. This is how i figure it, the last person that won the big jackpot thought he had no ****ing chance on gods green earth that he was going to win. Someone has to win, you just never know. You gotta be in it to win it though.

They just had a 40 million dollar winner here in Cali and last i heard that person hasnt turned in his/hers ticket.

Ross Perot called it a tax on stupid people.

No, but I appreciate those who do play. They paid for my college education. :)

I play it when I can. With the huge Evangelical pop. here in Arkansas, they are anti-anything fun. Arkansas is losing billions in gaming/lottery revenue every year to all of the states that border her(MO, MS, LA, OK, & TX). In fact, gaming companies from those states run anti gaming commercials and ads in Arkansas.

Arkansas is also one of the few states to have drive thru liquor stores...why? Because the preachers here don't want to risk being seen by their congregations! Weird isn't it...

I pay my idiot tax fairly regularly lately.

I hit $50 on the Iowa hotlotto twice, but never more than $3-$6 on power ball.

People always say the odds are terrible, but I know several people with lottery connections and wins. I know 2 others with $100K wins.

I know 2 power ball winners and knew a guy in college whose folks won both the Iowa and Illinois lottery within 2 years.

i bought one scratch off ticket right after they started selling them in missouri.
i lost.
at that time, i could buy a 40oz bottle of beer for the same amount of money.
not sure i could do that now, but i can buy a six pack a week for the same amount.
i win.

I don't know anybody who has ever won anything. The winners must all live in Iowa.

The lottery is a tax for people who are bad at math.

Yes, I do play on occasion. Sometimes it just feels good to give the laws of probability the finger.

How is playing the lottery any worse than buying season tickets
