Time for some post-game analysis. Who impressed? Who disappointed? And who uglied?

Good: Price. Looked like he belonged. Cottam. Showed good hands. Mike Cox. Get it? Mike Cox...ROFL See Cottam.

Bad: Sams. PR. Return game was '07-like. Well, probably a bit better, but...

Ugly: #52. Who? Still sucked.

I don't remember Sams getting alot of PR opportunities. And I thought Charles handled most of the KR duties. I could be wrong though.

I was also pleased with Price, Cottam and Cox.

Also Good: Charles. Looked good in third-down situations. Showed much promise, IMO.

i liked dantrell savage as the kick returner... he looked dangerous. he slipped a few times on some plays where he really could have busted a big play.

but he's well put-together and very fast

Though he did show some life later, it was somehow comforting to see Huard still had it in him to take a 20 yard sack. Or was that 25?

Yes, good to see that Huard could shake off the rust to fetal properly.

Good: All QB's looked comfortable, not too many QB hits, passing attack was there and vertical, audibles, moving the pocket, O-line play in general.

Bad: Run D, loose pass D, RB pass blocking

Each QB did lead a Touchdown scoring drive so that's a positive as well...

Good: Naturally we need to praise the Cialis man himself, Chan Gailey, for inspiring more wood for middle-aged men than anyone in the KC area on this particular evening.

Not to mention Webb and Franklin. Even BOBBY SIPPIO!

Tank...... nowhere........

I worry about the Dline's ability to get pressure and sacks honestly. I hope Dorsey and Tank combined help a ton next week!

I think we will hold on to him as a member of the taxi squad. He showed some good, if unpolished running ability.

Boone looked decent though..........

Turk with two "sacks." One of the last times I can remember watching an NFL player have a multiple-sack game that I, literally, could have accomplished.

Both sacks were essentially tags, not tackles.

Herb Taylor looked good

The Good: Happy to have our Offense show some improvement even if it doesn't take much to improve.
The Bad: The run defense with the 2-3 stringers really scared the crap out of me. Hope we work on our tackling.
The Ugly: Nothing really jumped out at me as completely awful given that we had several rookies and second year players.

Good - Bobby Sippio

Herb Taylor looked good

Inconsistently. He looked very good run blocking. He whiffed a few pass blocks....

Bad - Rashad Barksdale acting like a bowling pin and getting pounded by Bears fullback

Good: Murice Price and the WR corps. They all have done a fantastic job.

Bad: Corners/safeties. Man, they had a rough day in the office, and it looked like they were confused/lost on their assignments.

Ugly: Defensive line as a whole. Holy Christ, that looks like the 32 _efense out there with Greg Robinson coaching on the sidelines. Couldn't even stop the run at all.

Good: The WR corps, well at least the first 4 WRs. Maybe it just seems a lot better because Samie is gone *shrug*. Offensive scheme in general. It is the same type of things we see from the Broncos minus all the knee-diving. Hey, it works, but I'm cringing at the thought of a talented defense actually gameplanning our 4 run plays.

Bad: Our DE pass rush. Boone is just slow, Hali couldn't GOB, Johnston's first step is non-existant, McBride looks like Eric Hicks 2.0, and J. Parker is the only one that showed much pass-rushing ability. But that was against their 3rd stringers.

Ugly: The 2nd series. Hopefully Mac and Jones are just working out the kinks but they looked like they belong on the bench.

What about Richardson? I seem to remember him being a complete cluster **** for the first couple of plays that he was in, being owned and what not, and then settling down and being somewhat productive. Does this sound about right?

Granted the Bears aren't an offensive juggernaut, but it is nice that we held them to only 3 points up until Thigpen threw that interception. By that point, most of the guys who were in, aren't going to make the team anyway. Anyway, here's what I saw for good, bad and ugly -

Good -

Price and Cottam had a few catches that I saw. I saw Franklin come down with a couple big plays too. I don't remember Devard Darling catching a pass though. Of course, Bobby Sippio came up big in the 4th quarter. 3 catches for 52 yards and the game winning touchdown.

Rushing - I liked what I saw out of Jamaal Charles and Dantrelle Savage. Each had a couple longer carries. I really like our running back depth too. There's reasons to be excited about even the 3rd, 4th and maybe 5th string guys. Johnson, Charles, Smith and Savage make a pretty solid group.

O-line - I'm trying to remember if anyone's play on the line stood out. I thought I saw Richardson make a couple blocks downfield and Niswanger looked decent. Waters was Waters. The rest is highly suspect at best. I wasn't too impressed with MacIntosh, Adrian Jones, etc...

Bad -

QB play. A few quality drives for sure but I saw some things I didn't like either. Huard had a nice drive at the end of the 2nd half but also took a monster 20 yard sack too. I thought Thigpen was erratic up until that game winning drive when he seemed to be completing the majority of his passes.

I also wasn't too impressed with some of our backup corners. Barksdale, Legget, and Patterson seemed to have their difficulties in pass coverage.

Ugly -

D-line play. I didn't see us get any sacks in the game except for the one where Orton simply dropped the ball. I wasn't a big fan of our run defense either. Hopefully Dorsey helps shore that up a bit. I'm really hoping Boone isn't our starting DE on the left side. He did bat down a pass but I don't see us getting much pressure on the QB from over there.

Herb Taylor - I saw him get beat multiple times and completely whiff a couple times too. He also got called for a critical holding penalty

I think the Cardinals game is going to be a good judge as to where our defense really is. If our corners and safeties don't show up than their passing game is going to carve us up. Not to mention if our rushing D plays like it did tonight, the Edge is going to have another field day like he did when he was in Indy. Hope this doesn't happen but we'll see.

The Good: The WR Core looked solid. Bowe is a stud, Darling looked quick if nothing else, and blocked well, the Thrill, Webb and Price played solid ball, and somehow KC needs to get Sippio on the field. He has too good of hands to not be. Even in training camp...the guy catches EVERYTHING. Also, I thought that Turk McBride provided a lot more activity at DE than Boone did.

The Bad: The O Line was up and down, but bad play really came from Herb Taylor, who will be replaced, and is better off at Guard IMO. The D Line didn't get much pressure. However, the footing was AWFUL, and affected guys like Hali.

Good: RBs and starting LBs.

Bad: Defensive line.

Ugly: Penalties.

Best turn-around: Thigpen.

Wasn't he touted as a pass blocker?

Just got home and watching the game.
The line play on both sides of the ball is horrid. :shake:
