I heard this on Fox, so I'll just say it's a rumor.
Is this the backdoor entry she has been looking for? Obama is floundering and she feels she can get the delegates to change their vote.
Should this come off, it will be interesting to say the least.
Will there be continued infighting among the members of the democrats party?

I still think a bomb is going to drop on B.O. Something along the lines of Jim McGreevey.

Golly jeepers, it'll rip the party to shreds when the crazy people yammering on about "counting all of the votes" have even less ground to stand on!

You might try taking a step into reality here.
It is legal for a prospective candidate to request a floor vote.
Which delegates are committed to Obama? Can and will they change their vote because they see him as the weaker of the two "current" candidates?

Can and will they change their vote because they see him as the weaker of the two "current" candidates?Sure. The guy who's been campaigning for months and has become the focal point of the race for the presidency is going to be seen as the weaker candidate and they'll completely overturn months of progress. That's realistic.

I'll tag this comment for posterity.
The weaker candidate between him and McCain is where I'm pointing. I guess I should have made that clear since you have a problem following the basic direction of the thread.

What I see as an interesting twist to the election has to do with the weakness of the republican candidate.
McCain is not as good of a candidate that they can have, but the democrats have possibly two to vie for the spot (if the story is anything more than pure rumor) that are both weaker than McCain.
Sad state of affairs for the country.

She can't and won't win, a floor vote has nothing to do with it.
BO won 1,765 elected delegates. Clinton won 1,639. He got 2,243 delegates in total after all the switching from superdelegates. 2,117 are needed to have a majority.
The BO camp doesn't want there to be a floor vote because it will remind the country about how narrowly he actually won. Seeing that play out on TV would contradict the media creation of a messiah tsunami of support sweeping the entire globe except for a few dozen mustache-twisting oilmen.

You'd have to be pretty gullible to give this rumor any creedence.

Let's be honest programmer. For you a good democratic candidate isn't even born yet.

If you've been around, I voted for Clinton once. You obviously have cranial rectal inversion.
