A/V: Anyone have a Single Speaker Surround sound?

I've seen some commercials for them on the TV, I need to know if there are any that are worth it?

I am getting it for my bedroom, so I can't have something too powerful, but I don't want to buy it if its shitty.

$200 - $300 is my spending range.

I'd rather buy it in person at Best Buy or other, rather than online.

I don't personally have one, no. My friend has a Bose 2.1 "surround" system. It's a decent system, but it doesn't come close to the wrap-around sound you'd get from a 5 speaker system. In fact, I wouldn't have even known it was supposed to be surround had he not told me.
