You have to be kidding me. Bidding over $200 for a PS3 BOX? No hardware included at all. Seriously?

Same thing happened when PS2 came out, if I recall correctly. Stupid people, obviously. Either that or they simply didn't bother to read the details. Or perhaps the winning bidder was just screwing around and had no intention of paying for that.

I don't think they know it's just a box.

I do kind of believe that stuff like that is a big problem for E-Bay. Yeah, it is retarded to bid on it, but it never needed to be there.

Dumb move on the buyer's part. However, this is a poor practice IMO. The item is technically described, but the purpose of the auction is to trick someone just like this has done.

Ebay should put in a section titled "Boxes, Cartons, and Packaging" That way when someone pulls stuff like this, there is a reason to negate the auction due to improper listing. And, if a person ventures into "THIS SECTION IS ONLY FOR BOXES, NOT THE STUFF IN THE BOXES" section and bids like they are buying contents, they definately deserve to buy it.

Actually it is a good way to stop those lazy dicks that use automated programs to buy for them..

What's the confusion? PlayStation is the most popular, most iconic gaming console in history.
I can see perfectly clearly why someone would pay $$$ for a rare or no longer in print packaging setup.

I once sold an EMPTY Johnny West Buckboard box on eBay for $62.

You guys are just jealous that someone is paying more for an empty box than you pay for rent.
