That's right, he chased down Orton in game 1.

Fixed.

For those of you who have actually watched the games, is Mike Cox for real?

Or put another way, is Cox better than Dic?

Mike Cox is a pretty good blocker, which will only get better in time.

He's a great option out of the backfield, though. He hasn't dropped any dumpoffs thrown his way, and he'll usually get the most yards out of it.

I like him a lot.

That's great to hear, Mr. Direckshun. Very great, indeed. An effective, true FB can help us out a whole lot of tons.

I really think so.

I was fearing this might turn out to be one of those deals where we acquire somebody simply because our OC is familiar with him (Cox played under Gailey at GTech).

Turns out that not only does Cox have game, he's actually tailor-made for this offense.

We've known that for several years.

I agree. If he can not prove without question in the preseason that he should be our starter, then he deserves to be shown the door. Honestly, if you do not win a game as a starter in the preseason, then get the hell out....That goes for everyone else on this team too...

Is it just me, or are a few people being overly sarcastic today? I fell for it once already.

Mike Cox will be our Mike Alstott, a FB that can actually run, block and catch out of the backfield. Imagine that? ;)

What sarcasm? I know not what you speak of. So, we still on to get married next Saturday?

Yep. I agree, Mr. BIG K. Clearly, Gonzo has jumped the shark, the marlin, and a couple of mutant walleyes. Heck, all he does anymore is help the young guys get their shoulder pads on straight. We have trainers for that kind of stuff. Besides, he's a Vegan now and those people don't even believe in Jesus.

This kid is going to save Brodie's ass. I like the way he picks up the blitz and leads the way for LJ. He will be the starter.

I don't think anything can save Brodie at this point...
