I think it is important to be a good role model to your kids, and learn as much as possible about being a great parent.

Well, I subscribe to the newsletter at www.fathers.com (http://www.fathers.com) which is a foundation based out of Kansas City.

They are having a Championship father Weekend, this weekend. Here is the information.

BTW, they are also having these in other cities, so check out the site. It is this Friday night and Saturday morning. If you have kids, look into it.

I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine.

In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now.

After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub.

Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older.

Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

Personal grooming and the do's and don'ts are very important.

Now, Guru, you've got to wear clothes in proportion to your physique. There are definite do and don'ts, good buddy, of wearing a bold striped shirt. A bold stripe shirt calls for solid colored or discreetly patterned suits and ties. Always tip the stylist 15%. Listen, Guru, I've gotta go, T. Boone Pickens just walked in. Just joking. Don't tip the owner of the salon. Okay Guru? Right? Got it.

Do you know what Ed Gein said about being a good father?

When I see my child I want to know two things.

The first wants to take him to a baseball field, show him how to throw a ball, catch, and hit a curve, and how that would feel.

You know what the other part wants to know?

What his head would look like on a stick.

It's hard to choose a favorite among so many great tracks, but "The Greatest Love of All" is one of the best, most powerful songs ever written about self-preservation, dignity. Its universal message crosses all boundaries and instills one with the hope that it's not too late to better ourselves. Since, L.A. Chieffan, it's impossible in this world we live in to empathize with others, we can always empathize with ourselves. It's an important message, crucial really. And it's beautifully stated on the album.

There are many things to teach your son and to be a good father. Well, we have to end apartheid for one. And slow down the nuclear arms race, stop terrorism and world hunger. We have to provide food and shelter for the homeless, and oppose racial discrimination and promote civil rights, while also promoting equal rights for women. We have to encourage a return to traditional moral values. Most importantly, we have to promote general social concern and less materialism in young people.

Good site. I will check in often. Too bad about the hijack.

I think one of the most important things is to acknowledge your child's feeling and let them know they're valid, wether you agree with them or not.

I think my dad mostly reacted like I was irrational and expected me to have the same values as him.

It's the difference between saying

"Why the hell do you need those sneakers? If you think I'm paying $17 for a pair of shoes, you're crazy, You shoudn't want those. That's dumb"

versus

"I can understand why you want those $17 Vans shoes. It must be really tough to not have the stuff al the kids are paying attention to, especially when you've got no sports skills to fall back on."

That relationship has brought tears to my eye before. But none of us can be that father. That bar is way, way, way up there. We can only do the best we possibly can, which includes finding ways to improve our parenting techniques. This fathers site has a lot of great information. If I can't attend their seminars or join, I can take a few minutes out of my web activity to learn something from their site and I can spread the word about what they're trying to do. I intend to print some of their material (with permission) in the family section of my newspaper as well.

You're my lawyer so I think you should know: I've killed a lot of people. Some girls in the apartment uptown uh, some homeless people maybe 5 or 10 um an NYU girl I met in Central Park. I left her in a parking lot behind some donut shop. I killed Bethany, my old girlfriend, with a nail gun, and some man uh some old faggot with a dog last week. I killed another girl with a chainsaw, I had to, she almost got away and uh someone else there I can't remember maybe a model, but she's dead too. And Paul Allen. I killed Paul Allen with an axe in the face, his body is dissolving in a bathtub in Hell's Kitchen. I don't want to leave anything out here. I guess I've killed maybe 20 people, maybe 40. I have tapes of a lot of it, uh some of the girls have seen the tapes. I even, um... I ate some of their brains, and I tried to cook a little. Tonight I, uh, I just had to kill a LOT of people. And I'm not sure I'm gonna get away with it this time. I guess I'll uh, I mean, ah, I guess I'm a pretty uh, I mean I guess I'm a pretty sick guy. So, if you get back tomorrow, I may show up at Harry's Bar, so you know, keep your eyes open.
