Thought some of you would enjoy this excerpt from a Dwayne Wade Olympic article:

Even half a world away, Wade has remained in touch with Spoelstra, Heat President Pat Riley (http://www.sun-sentinel.com/topic/sports/basketball/pat-riley-PESPT008504.topic) and teammates such as first-round pick Michael Beasley.

"I think they're all pumped," he said. "I've talked to Coach Spo'. I talked to Coach Riles. Of course I've talked to my teammates all the time. I talked to Beasley the other night. He was probably on his way to work out. It was at night here; I was on my way to work out. I talked to him a while. He feels he has stuff to prove.

"I think everybody is excited. Of course, there's still question marks out there about our team and of course we have a rookie point guard and we haven't found a five-man and things like that, but we're going to let Coach Riley do his job at the top and with what we've got, we're going to make the best of it."

Wade raved about the potential of second-round pick Mario (http://www.sun-sentinel.com/topic/entertainment/music/mario-PECLB005369.topic) Chalmers, speaking as if the rookie out of Kansas already had been told he would be a starter.

If you can play defense your gonna make it in the NBA..

Chalmers can also shoot the rock.

I predicted a long time ago that not only does he start, eventually he will be an Allstar and I think he can be as good as Chris Paul.

No I am not being a homer, I really think Chalmers is that good and probably was the best player on that Kansas team.

Chalmers was the best overall player. He could shoot, dribble, pass, score in the lane, score from the outside, defend.....he always had that "look" to him that he was just knew how to play the game and play it well.

Him and Russ Rob are the two I'm going to miss the most this year.

Russ Rob was a good leader but he couldnt shoot worth a shit though.

Just his poise on the court. The typical New Yorker attitude of not backing down from anyone.

I wish there was a way I could watch Heat games that didn't involved Satellite or CableTV. Some day there will be legit streaming sports over the Interweb and it will be grand.

I'm just going to take this opportunity and post right here. How do I disable signatures and avatars?

I just moved to a new office and it could become a concern here. Thanks.

Go to "User CP" then on the left scroll down and click on "User Options" and then scroll down to "Thread View" and you can check whether av's/sigs/etc are visible or not.

Your opinion IRT KU basketball is null and void.

Same here.

NBA sucks.

I used to love it, I love College Hoops now though. I do watch the NBA just not as much as I used too. MJ is gone, my favorite player Dikembe Mutombo is still playing but past his prime.

There is also a dropdown box that should say full featured. Switch that to at work mode. It has some other benefits too, like the name on the taksbar becomes "..." And all pictures go away except smilies.

It's like college basketball heaven. It's where the good players go when they die (er, run out of eligibility), never to be seen or heard from again.
