We're gonna be so bad this year that when Herm gives his first press conference to address the regular season, he's not going to go Jim Mora on us with a "playoffs?!" rant, he's going to say...

It's probably just an ACL tear, nothing too serious. Minimum year.

Oh, so you're saying that as long as they go at least 3 years? I didn't know that.

Yep - they have to be 3 years removed from high school. So even if a guy goes to a prep school for a year or a JUCO for a year or two he can then enter the draft after 1 or 2 years of D-I ball.

We're not snakebitten.

It's the NFL, 300 lb men that run 4.9 40's are hurling themselves at eachother.

Guys get hurt all the time. It only seems like it happens to us more often because we lack the depth to replace our injured guys.

You'll be amazed how much less we notice these 'catastrophic' injuries to our 3rd string WR's when we actually have competent replacements.

Rookie wide receiver Will Franklin left practice shortly before its end today with what he said was a right knee injury.

Franklin hobbled off the field with help from one of the team's athletic trainers. He later walked in the locker room without assistance.

"Hopefully it's nothing serious and I'll overcome it," Franklin said. "I just took a weird step and felt it tweak.

"No injury is a good injury. I'm just trying to stay as positive as I can. I'm just hoping that nothing bad comes out of it."

Franklin, a fourth-round pick from Missouri, is the first receiver off the bench when the Chiefs go to their three wide-receiver formations. He has three catches for 37 yards in the two preseason games.

The amount of ABSURD BULLSHIT ricocheting off the walls of this site in regards to Devard Darling is ridiculous.

Devard Darling has been the starter since day one. Will Franklin and Maurice Price have NEVER been seriously considered for the spot.

I understand that. However, the issue here is that Darling hasn't shown anything to warrant the starting job. It's like he been given the job, regardless of his performance.

I mean, it's like if he pulls a Samie Parker, dropping balls and blowing his routes, yet he's still starting? Makes no sense. I understand that Price is playing 2nd-3rd stringers, but he has strung up more catches than I can think of Darling.

If the Chiefs are wanting to put their best 11 players, then in my opinion, Price has performed better/consistently than Darling has up to this point.

Franklin only knows one receiver spot - the slot. Darling knows four.

It won't matter anyways. For whatever reasons unexplained, the Chiefs will never make those moves anyways. (I.E. Seeing Darling who hasn't performed well during pre-season games which IMHO warrants a promotion for Price to first squad and see how he can handle it)

Hell, it's the same franchise that should had started Herb Taylor at RT instead of McFatAssBastard, but it goes back to the first paragraph I mentioned. They won't budge.

Personally, I don't care if Darling knows all ELEVEN positions on offense, if he can't play any of them worth a shit, or at least show some ****ing effort, he doesn't deserve to see the field.

Christ, even Sippio has shown more than Darling. And you know what I think of Sippio...

Better WF tweak it now and have time to heal. He's done enough to earn a spot on the roster already and although he needs the reps a few days of rest now might make his legs last a game or two longer during the regular season.
