So I just happened to visit the depth chart today and noticed a change. Jackie Battle is #2 with Kolby as #3. The list finishes off with Charles and Savage.

I guess I want to know what you guys think of Battle. I'm in the middle of watching the Chiefs/Cards game so I haven't seen him in there, but I didn't realize he was playing this well (at least well enough to push Kolby down a spot). I really like what Kolby did last season with no offensive line. I know he's not as much of a change of pace back or anything, but I think he could really be helpful when LJ needs a break, and he can come in and not miss a beat.

Any thoughts guys? Am I just reading too much into this depth chart?

It might just be to give Battle a chance to show some stuff tomorrow night.

The bigger puzzle to me is why Sams is still the #1 returner.

Jackie Battle really has no business even making the roster.

Maybe Carl is going to showcase him this week and try to trade him.

Throw in Svitek and ask for a 7th.

We won't be able to get sh*t from trading Battle. I want to see K. Smith, the guy shows flashes of Priestness.

I was being sarcastic.

That is one hell of a puzzle, it might be just me, but I think Macho Man Savage has looked much better as a returner, and with some more "real game reps" behind the actual wedge I think he'll get even better ????

Let's showcase LJ and trade him. Actually I'm only half serious here. But if we actually field a semi-capable O-line this year maybe we should consider trading LJ (provided the other team assumes his contract...... DAMMIT CARL!!!)

That ship sailed as soon as LJ signed that big contract.

Once again, LJ is not trade able.

I think the RB depth chart will become more obvious after tonight.

Battle runs too heavy for a TB, no quickness or instinct IMO. He is better off at FB, but he will get cut or go to the practice squad my guess.

The Chiefs will def. try to go down field more, but tonight is the night they try to tie the 2 together into a complete game/drive.

Savage will be not only our return man but he will in due time also be our "secret slot Wes Welker" type of player that will have more power after the catch. This guy will be able to do alot for us IMHO. Excellent pick up.

I really like Mike Cox as well. Chan knew we did not have a legit FB here and with his O approach he brought in the guy that not only knows his O but is a very good athlete who is a smart player. A TRUE THUMPER with athleticism and smarts. Chief fans say hello to our version of Mike Alstott.

I think you mean Lorenzo Neal over Alstott. Alstott wasnt a true fullback.
