Pretty much everything by the coen brothers is fantastic. Now that they won a ton of oscars last year it seems hollywood has given then essentially a blank check to do whatever they want, cast any stars they want. Its great.

Brad Pitt looks surprisingly funny, based on the trailer.

Anything by the Coens is always worth a look.

There are a few flicks of theirs i didnt care for though:

Ladykillers
Intolerable Cruelty

Ladykillers had its moments. Intolerable Cruelty I'll give them a pass for because they were brought in last moment - it wasn't their film.

FWIW, neither of those was a Coen brothers original movie. Ladykillers was a remake and Intolerable Cruelty was written by someone else. I think they are at their best when the whole movie is their idea from start to finish. Of course, the big giant exception to that is No Country For Old Men.

Burn After Reading appears to be their first original movie since 2001. Very exciting.

I don't give them a freebee for Ladykillers. While it was a remake, they had much more to do with it than they did Intolerable Cruelty.
