View Full Version : Chiefs Hard to imagine we won't get the number 1 pick

and that makes me sick TO SAY. I can't think of a team that looks worse than us. Maybe it's all a pre season mirage but what team will be worse than us?

Just throw any expectations you might have out the window and watch the young guys improve. Think of it as a 20 game preseason. It'll be better for your health.

I'd hate to hear that they found 20+ planeteers splattered beneath the Broadway bridge.

We may very well be the worst team, but I'm willing to give em a chance in regular season play. Just sit back, relax, and grab a snickers and watch the young guys play and don't worry about the record too much. Player developement is key. Some wins would be nice too.

Even if I weren't a Mizzou fan (and I am), I'd want them to kick Illinois ass just to send that mental midget slinking away with his tail between his legs.

Less than a week 'till game time. :mizzou:

We're gonna suck. We've always been a team that's going to suck.

So, would you rather the first choice of every player in the country, or the fifth? Sixth? Seventh?

Just hope that a franchise QB shines through or a monster pass-rusher.

The raiders could literally be the worst team in the NFL this year and the best the next. They're as good as any team in the NFL at every position but offensive line. Unfortunately, you can't run an offense without one.

Leave Illinois out of this. I am from the great state and think the football program has turned for the better. I do not think they will beat MU but I do think if MU does not go into that game with a little respect for the Fighting Illini they could lose it.

As far as the Chiefs go I am going to do my best to ignore all the people that think pre season = regular season success or failure.

Mecca predicted he would fall to the second round. I also figure we could trade back from 1 to around 3-5 and still get Crabtree in addition to a shitload of other picks, either this year or further down the line. IMO, that would be KILLER value in the first round because you're still getting the best player in the draft and first round value in spikes, so we effectively sacrifice nothing and probably gained a first next year and a third this year, if not more.

Yeah, that JaMarcus Russell really looks like Tom Brady. Gerard Warren reminds of Albert Haynesworth. And that Jay Richardson also has some Julius Peppers in him.

By the looks of things around here lately, it's gonna be a tightly contested race...

So I think Illinois is gonna beat Misery in the opening week and suddenly I am a HUGE Illini fan? Man, some of you guys have down syndrome. I just think Misery is way overrated and will be losing a number of games this year...starting week one.

With that said, the Raiders are definitely better than us. They have some sick talent and are ahead of us in the rebuilding process.

I could see the 49ers being the worst team but we'll see. The Chiefs DID look just plain awful vs the Fins.

Don't take things so literal. The point is they could be contenders if they had an offensive line. Their linebackers, secondary, and running back positions are probably tops overall. Even while running for his life Russell is 10 X better than Brody Croyle.

So since your so convinced do you care to put some money where you mouth is?

I say after they win their first game you send me gift card for a slab and some fixins ...

IF they go 0-16 I do the same for you.

Chiefs have enough horses in the backfield to run the ball. Not to mention our schedule isnt exactly world beaters, we will still suck but I dont think we will have the #1 pick.

As of right now, I think Denver will challenge for it - Atlanta, San Francisco maybe Oakland. Of course their are some other factors that you have to count for like injury their are a few teams where the QB or a certain player goes down they go down fast see St. Louis last year.

So lets see the Chiefs start at NE come home for Oakland then go to Atlanta if it's 0-3 this board will be melting down to epic proportions even though that very well has a legit chance of happening...

It's to bad Atlanta isn't a home game we'd have a much better chance of winning.

What amazes me about our team is that we're so young at so many positions, it's almost impossible for us not to be bad. There are so many rookie free agents, that aren't training camp fodder, they will make the team, that the entire season will be a learning session for these guys.

Thats probally true but the thing that will help us, Raiders, and Denver out will be we all beat each up at least 2 wins each for all the teams.

We will beat Atlanta and Oakland. Nothing to back this up just as no-one has anything to support the opposite to be true. Just a gut feeling that our running game and defense will pull off a couple of close games.

If I am wrong, then so what, no-one expects us to win anyway......just trying to make lemonade!

Guys, don't worry, we won't lost so bad that we get the #1 draft pick. We'll win 5-6 games and end up drafting just out of the top 10, missing on all the top prospects.
