So, say you are confronted with a hostile arabic man and you are kidnapped and bound to a chair, ala Reservoir Dogs.

And he is giving you one last chance to convince him that you deserve to live.

Can you speak any of their languages?

They'll never catch me.

I actually know more Russian from 80's cold war movies.

Chinese i could probably fake,if the guy was a Buddhist.

Took a couple of semesters of Russian several years back. Know enough that I could survive, but not much more.

"He is not a man, he is like a piece of iron."

I could tell my Russian captors that.

If he dies, he dies.

If I got free, I'd chokeslam one of them and then scream out:

"I fight to win for me......FOR ME!!"

I can speak some Arabic. I wish I could speak more but the univsersity I attend doesn't offer it. I was forced to take some very intensive Arabic language courses in USMC and had the opportunity to practice those skills as I often lived with Arabic families in Iraq for days at a time. It is really a very interesting language.

My momma taught me German instead of her native Russian because Deutsche is much easier to learn.

I know a few Arabic words like IED, vest bomb, and suicide bombing. Other than that, I'm mostly useless.

All of my vast knowledge on foreign languages derives from one language, and that language is gibberish it may sound like a real language but it's not. Most of the tidbits I do know are off of movies.

Some movies require adult supervision, even for grownups.

For a few years while I was growing up I lived with a housefull of Arabs. I learned some basics, but couldn't come near conversing in it.
I basically learned some insults, how to say "hurry" and how to say "Hello, how are you."
