:shake:The whole area is being told to get ready. Lets take a few moments and maybe say a little prayer or just send good vibes that direction. Go Chiefs!

Just remember when the New Madrid lets go, wrecks St. Louis and most of mid and southern MO...

No Govt. Aid for anyone. They knew it was there, and had it coming. ;)

In a year, 2 at the most, you'll find Iowa more prepared for abnormal flooding. Taller levees, water retention structures......It won't be as bad next time.

N.O. can't help that they're on the gulf, they can't prevent tropical storms, but the city and the citizens sure as hell can prepare to take care of themselves.

This is true, let hope they have their shit together this time.

If it hits NO again and we rebuild it again, then this country is flat STUPID.

Having a city below sea level on the coast is flat out DUMB.

Lets hope NO and the government have taken care of their levee problems.

If they don't, and God forbid....this or another hurricane in the not-so-distant future reduces New Orleans to debris and ocean-front slums again....

Can we agree to NOT rebuild this "disaster waiting to happen" yet again????

Seeing as you can out walk a hurricane, I'm interested to see how many people stay behind this time.

And, will this hurricane put the burden of responsibility to take care of oneself on the citizens or the government this time?

You know Bush just wants N.O. wiped off the map so he is willing this hurricane here just like Katrina.

He's not willing anything. He's climbed aboard and is steering this one right there. He can't kill black people fast enough!!!

When he's done he's going to go blow up some buildings in New York, secretly of course, and then because he's so dumb, he'll answer a phone upside down.

To make this thread more political...

I am gonna give credit to B. Jindal, the repub gov of LA. He just declared a state of emergency, is taking control of busses and trains out of NO, and is calling up the NG.

That is much better leadership than the last time around.

of course hindsight is 20/20

Fill up your gas tanks now, oil will rise with the offshore oil rigs in it's path.
