Which of these three states, do you think McCain has the best chance of winning. Very likely, the answer to this question will determine the V.P. question.

One state's not going to determine it.

Although 538, the best electoral college website online, reiterates that the most important battleground state this fall is Colorado.

McCain has the best chance of winning Colorado out of the three, but he's been lagging consistently behind in all three.

I believe the answer becomes Michigan if he selects Romney.

You can assume, certain trendlines, histories, voter registrations and habbits.

Then you get to a handfull of states that are essentially tied.

Any one of which will put you over the top, making it impossible for the other guy to get to 270.

Game over.

You left out "none of the above.";)NOt a viable answer. Sorry.

I had Romney tabbed for his Michigan ties 3 months ago.

If McCain wins Michigan and Colorado, he could lose Ohio and still win.

He's not going to lose Ohio, but.

Michigan is in the toilette, and they have been governed exclusively by Democrats for the last 8 years, so the we need to change from them damn Republicans, as stupid an argument as it is, doesn't fly that well with them.

They would have to believe that Bush deliberately set out to destroy Michigan. That evil Bush.
