12. In relationship to families, what are your top three priorities if elected governor?
SP: 2. Preserving the definition of “marriage” as defined in our constitution.

I wonder if she really believes our Constitution defines marriage. This might be worse than the Pledge of Allegiance because this shows a lack of understanding about our country's most important document, something she'd need to uphold if somehow she ever got in power.

I think she's referring to Alaska's constitution, but either way it makes her an asshole.
Amendments which passed include Article I's right-to-privacy clause and ban on sexual discrimination (1972) . . . and an amendment banning same-sex marriage (1998).http://i38.tinypic.com/6znayu.jpg

I looked up what I could about Alaska's Constitution and couldn't find a definition of marriage.
Apparently not defining marriage was good enough for Alaska's founding fathers, but it wasn't good enough for her. ;)

10. Do you support the Alaska Supreme Court’s ruling that spousal benefits for state employees should be given to same-sex couples? Why or why not?
SP: No, I believe spousal benefits are reserved for married citizens as defined in our constitution.
