Is anyone else having problems syncing email, or surfing the net on the AT&T 3G network?

I don't have them but they've been having all sorts of problems. It's ATT. What can I say?

Funny thing is that people blame Apple for it.

I saw something this morning say that a good chunk of their 3G network was down out East.

I find it hilarious that Apple fixes their iPhone bug that eliminates problems with 3g that ATT claimed Apple was the reason behind the 3g problems. Then, a week later with all those updates live, the 3g system goes down.

Someone in Cali is trying to start a class action suite against both companies because they have sold enough 3G devices are sucking enough juice from the towers that people can't get enough bandwidth to actually run at 3G. Great network AT&T...

Unfortunately, the class action can't succeed against Apple. If it does, I'm going to make one against Samsung for shitty phones.

ATT - well we've all known that's been the biggest downside to the iPhone. ATT sucks and people knew it. And people STILL went.

The northeast data network isn't down, as only iPhone users are having issues.

Sad to see that Sprint may be the leading carrier to win my business, after I swore in '99 that I would never go back again.

Holy hell! How did you get narrowed down to Sprint? They suck ass.

They have the best data network, period. No contest.

Yes, but a downside to that is that they don't work everywhere. It is true that the GSM networks are very slow to adapt to the new data networks. Sprint is definitely ahead of the curve there. But what is it if you can't use it everywhere?

That's true of 3G as well. When I travel I frequently switch to Edge, as 3G is not available in the area. Pretty much all of Lawrence is Edge. I know for a fact that the campus is Edge. (and it's completely saturated)

The phone.

I want either the HTC Touch Pro, or the SEX1. Sprint, Verizon, and "probably" AT&T are getting the HTC, but Verizon ****ed the hardware specs on the phone, so only the Sprint and possibly the AT&T model will be fully powered. AT&T just looks like shit ever since they picked up the iPhone.

I'm still waiting to find out who picks up the SEX1. That is one SEXY phone!!

Check out the gallery at gizmodo, it's pretty funny...

Oops, apparently that was forwarded from here, with more pics and an actual review of the Stainless Steel Wireless Erotica Device.

I'm thinking of getting the HTC Touch Pro because T-Mobile is getting it. And I have ripped on Android too, so I'll have first hand knowledge on whether I was right.

Having said that, it's interesting that everyone compares things to the iPhone now. You can't say Apple didn't change the game/market.

Damn that BengalBoy dude like to post pictures! The humor is cool, but gets stale quickly. Some good info in the review (starting about 50 pics down or so). One major feature I'm interested in...

The X1i's beautiful WVGA touch screen is 65,000 colors and a whopping 800 X 480 in resolution bumping itself up from the other HTC device offerings by moving into the widescreen VGA neighborhood

T-Mobile has always been a "gimmick" service provider to me. Their only smartphone for years was the Sidekick. They added the original HTC Touch and a Crackberry, but other than that they are a candy bar shop. I have to thank them for kickstarting HTC though (makers of the Sidekick products), but you would think that since they brought the whole qwerty keyboard slider thing to such a popular status (much like what the iPhone is doing today for touch screens) that they would have purchased more HTC products?!

I have the new iphone and love it. I am not sure what all the bitching is about. They don't have 3G where I live but I ued it in KC a couple weeks ago and it rocked.

The wifi is great as well.

Apparently AT&T had some 3G blackouts. If you use it regularly, and then it goes away, you really miss it. Not to mention, that some customers have not been able to actually make voice calls on 3G at all, they have to back down.

I like the iPhone, I may bag on it, but that's mainly because I think they came so close to getting it right, that it's a huge shame when they **** it up by making it a closed OS and exclusive to one provider. They design work, but then they got greedy.

Oh their phones suck asshole.

Their plans, however, are the best in the biz. Pricing wise.

Their coverage is one notch below Verizon but less expensive.

I will not deny they have the worst phones ever.

My wife got one because she actually needs some of the functionality for her job. Now I can't put the damned thing down. I'm driving her crazy with it. I'll be getting one whenever I'm ready for a phone upgrade in a little over a year. Hopefully there will be a newer and better one out by then.

Never bothered to check out there pricing plans. I get a 21-23% discount with Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T for hardware and service so I never really considered anyone else. If there plan beats one of the big 3 by 30% or more and they pick up the Touch Pro I may have to seriously look.

Big 3?

My order based in experience is:

Verizon > T-Mobile >>>>>ATT >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Sprint
