Question about Chiefs/Whitlock vs Pats/Bledsoe past

I can't remember the year late 90's early 00's maybe, but I know that we played the Patiots and there was some controversy about JWhit calling or insinuating the Drew Bledsoe was gay. I was wandering if anyone remembers the whole story and how that came about.

It was 1998. It was a pretty big deal at the time. I believe JWhit got suspended for it but im not 100% sure?

That game was also just another black eye on that whole wretched 98 season.

NE fans were heckling Whitlock and the KC press so he put up a sign that said Bledsoe is Gay to piss off the southies. It was immature and not very effective since half of them couldn't read anyway.

Whitlock really does love KC...especially the Chiefs...so his bitterness towards this team should be praised, especially around these parts...he's as pessimistic as the rest of you!
