I know you aren't using to posts of substance, but I'd like an answer to my question. What does this have to do with the criticism about Palin not understanding the situation with the banks?

Ok, for the political rookies like yourself out there...

NObama is slamming her for her apparent misunderstanding of how exactly the two institutions opperate claiming she should know.

Meanwhile, he's cashing checks from their lobbyists for his political campaigns while those same institutions are going belly up and going to cost the taxpayers money that Palin thought they were already paying?

You tell me which of the two look worse in most people's, not Obots, eyes????

Again, for the political rookies. You don't attack your opponent on something you have vulnerabilities for yourself. Especially when those vulnerabilities are worse than the ones you charge against your opponent.

So it really doesn't have anything at all to do with the legitimacy of the criticism. I'm glad we're clear.

(No, Barack isn't evil for this, but neither is Palin stupid)

Jesus. Does it hurt to be this obtuse?

Does it hurt being this retarded? Any claim you want to level against Obama has nothing to do with the criticism that Palin was clueless in her comment about Fannie and Freddie being a burden on taxpayers.

That sure does not seem like a large amount of money for corporate type donations. I seem to recall the oil companies have given McCain like 4 million. Am I missing something?

Hell Karl Rove specialized in doing just such things and getting away with it.

Contributions by corporate entities to presidential campaigns is illegal, so the "oil companies" have given McCain a total of $0.00

However, Opensecrets.org does a rollup of contributors by employer and business sector:

2008 Presidential Race Energy & Natural Resources:
McCain $2,831,322 ($1,619,390 from oil and gas)
Obama $1,459,153 ($457,895 from oil and gas)

Career Senate Energy & Natural Resources:
McCain $3,086,567 (figures only go back to 1989, does not include first 3 years in Senate)
Obama $1,509,265

As an aside, Obama received $365,922 from Lehman Bros employees during his time as a Senator, McCain has received $128,550 during his Senate career.

What is that, something like a 20 to 1 ratio on a per year basis? Wow.
