Seahawks Promote WR Michael Bumpus, Cut WR Samie Parker

Seattle announced it has moved wide receiver Michael Bumpus from the practice squad to the 53-man roster in time for him to play in Sunday's game. To make room for Bumpus, the Seahawks released Samie Parker, who was signed earlier this week.

I believe there a lot of players who have enough talent to get by (I'm not suggesting he's a star) can't remember a playbook. He's obviously an idiot.

That's the dynamic - if such a player is drafted the team will wait for him to learn the playbook but if he's trying to catch on as a 4th or 5th stringer as a free agent, it's impossible. WR is actually pretty tough to play. They're not just out there trying to get open.

As a rule, I don't laugh out loud when I'm reading stuff here.

But I did.

That's a classic line, Flopnuts.

I blame myself, if I hadn't adopted him as a first year player he would have thrived, but pushing my luck on him was the end of all hope for the guy.

my bad.

don't know the rules of haiku

Your free verse here gave me the impression that you might know. You are a natural poet, even though I must admit that I usually endorse an idea that is not mine: The best poets are always dead poets.

Haiku sounds simple, but its simplicity is exactly what makes it deceptively complex.

First line: 5 syllables
Second line: 7 syllables
Third line: 5 syllables
