View Full Version : Chiefs Was/Is Damon Huard hurt?

Mr. Laz

or was just a bunch of BS so they could "play" with the QB position some more?

were the Chiefs coaching staff "hiding" behind a possible injury to PR protect themselves?

I heard his interview with 810, and it didn't sound like he was hurt. He tried his best not to answer any questions, but, in doing so, it was clear he could have gone back into the game.

I wonder what kind of responses you might get on this, Laz?

Rational thought isn't exactly the staple of ChiefsPlanet tonight.

I don't know. I'm glad they did it though. They need to leave Thigpen in there. Yes, even if Croyle is healthy for 3 consecutive hours.

I agree with Mr. DeezNutz' take on the interview which I also heard.

I don't understand why Hermoine would feel it was necessary to justify a player replacement due to a "fake" injury, though. If he wanted to play Thiggy, he's well within his rights to do so. I don't get that part at all.

If Croyle is healthy you put him in there, if you leave Thigpen in you are just showcasing him for the CFL.

He got a stiff neck. Which pretty much tells me he didn't even want to go get killed behind our shit O line.
I can't blame him.

If you put Croyle out there, you're just marking time until his next injury. And still not winning games.

Thanks for confirming my claim, Mr. Fax.

I also found it disconcerting that Herm was, at the very least, skirting the truth with his assessment of Huard's "injury."

Option C.

Huard didn't want to play in this pitiful offense anymore for fear of getting killed.

Herm said before the game that we would see Thigpen. He might have been hurt a little, but it was Herm's choice.

Thats proballly true, but still he has more talent to be a NFL QB than Thigpen. Throw his ass out there and play until it happens, we dont need the third stringer who should be in CFL out there.

That pretty much remains to be seen, and it doesn't matter anyway when Croyle gets broken when someone farts in his direction.

Croyle has was the QB job via default.

Exactly.

I disagree with this sentiment.

Tyler Thigpen may never be anything more than a backup in the NFL. That's hard to asses at this point. BUT, he is a second year, 7th round draft choice from Coastal Carolina and has a TON of room for improvement.

He only took 50% of the snaps this past week and he did something Croyle hasn't: He took the team on a touchdown drive. And of the the right side of the Chiefs offensive line was actually worth a shit, giving Thigpen a real running game, he may be very serviceable.

I'm of the opinion that he should take 100% of the snaps in practice and be the starter until Croyle's ready to return.

Or he's injured.

He obviously had some brain trauma, he suddenly believed he could thrown the ball long and he believed that he was allowed to throw a long ball before the last two minutes of the game.

if he put him in there without any injury to Huard it says that he's throwing in the towel for the season. That wouldn't put asses in the seats for king carl

I agree with taking all the snaps till Croyle gets back. I dont want to see Huard at all unless Thigpen gets majorly hurt.

we need to aquire anderson or quinn from Cle in the offseason and get Oher in the draft..then we might just score a td next year

We should call Huard "Sir Robin":

I'm sorry about your loss today against the Raiders.

How did Huard get knocked out of the game?

No disrespect... why would a coach be testing out quarterbacks in a regular season game?

I'm hoping Huard is ok. Wish the NFL had better rules in place to protect QBs.

Huard's a great backup because he's never going rock the boat. He'll come in and out of games, no questions asked. I think he saw the gameplan this week of rotating QB's and then got dinged a little bit and said why the hell should I go back in and risk serious injury when (a) there is no commitment to me being a starter, and (b) a bunch of retards are running the show who are destined to make coaching decisions that will get me hurt.

He gets the same paycheck and has the same future whether he steps on the field or sits out with a sore neck.

And that's what leadership means to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Squat.

It's gonna be a long painful year.

I think Damon saw where things were heading and after the light tap to his helmet, went over to the sidelines, curled up in the fetal position sucking his thumb and started talking to all of the leprechauns and fairies who were dancing up and down the sidelines so he didn't have to go back in and get killed.

During the press conference, Herm told us Huard was dizzy. Huard was asked about his injury status and he brought up something about a neck injury. Nothing about being Dizzy.

Jackoff Harry was going apeshit tonight saying the chiefs are lying SOB's, i believe it too...

Huard looked like he was avoiding the question....i'd ask for my release if i were him. NE would probably take him back

He better have been hurt. If he was healthy and the Chiefs still trotted an obviously overmatched Thigpen out there for the 2nd half after he embarassed himself in the 2nd quarter, then a lot of people deserve a cash refund. Anyone with eyes can see that Thigpen cannot play QB in the NFL.

By the way, Roethlisberger played QB tonight with a separated shoulder. Last year Eli Manning came back 2 weeks after he separated his shoulder. Tape that thing up and get out there Brodie.

Story #3:
Damon Huard is a "Pro's Pro."

He fakes an injury better than anyone. And real pros like Elvis Grbac can really appreciate behavior like that.

Seriously. Are you frickin' kidding me???

Damon Huard's a "yes" man, always has been, does what is best for the team, even if they say "you suck, we dont like you, and want a scrub off the street to play your position" I think huard's a vag anyway and doesn't like to start and take the backseat. I wish he had a pair and called herm on his shit, what would he have to lose? Get released and picked up by another team...
