The accompanying poll will include several pairs of choices, and you will be asked which choice would win in a football game. Once the poll is up, please feel free to share your opinions.

I hope one of the choices is between Herm Edwards and a package of chicken legs that have been left out in the sun all day.

I hope it is fans that want to rebuild and the fans that think 0-2 means you can not.

I wanted to make it some closer choices, as opposed to just a bunch of chicken leg votes.

The only one you forgot was a goat coaching against Herm. If that would have been on there, I would have picked the goat.

Scenario 1:
You and your friends coaching the 2008 Chiefs

Scenario 2:
Vince Lombardi coaching the 2008 Chiefs

Scenario 3:
Tom Landry coaching the 2008 Chiefs, but with only 10 men on the field

Scenario 4:
Gunther Cunningham coaching the 2000 Chiefs

Scenario 5:
The Madden 2008 game simulator coaching the 2008 Chiefs

Scenario 6:
Bill Walsh coaching the 1995 49ers, but with the players' positions shuffled randomly.

Scenario 7:
Bill Belichick coaching the 2007 Patriots, but with Ryan Leaf at quarterback.

Scenario 8:
Marty Schottenheimer coaching the 1993 Chiefs in a first-round playoff game.

Who wins:

Herm Edwards coaching the Bears in the 1940 title game (73-0 over the Washington Redskins) or the guy who clicked the boxes next to Scenario 1, Scenario 2, Scenario 3, etc. lining up solo on the other side of the ball.

I'd say it's the guy who clicked the boxes.

If the madden game simulator actually adapts to the opposition like it says on the commercials, we can be sure it would outcoach Herm Edwards, who has never adapted to anything.

instead of calling from the playbook, they could draw a bunch of squares on the pavement in the parking lot. then send a mule out there and whatever square he craps in first, that's the play we call on first down all day.

Interestingly, it appears that we could send Herm Edwards a copy of Madden and have him mimic their playcalling, and everyone would be happy. It seems like a reasonable and inexpensive solution to me.

It is amazing to me that anyone would select any scenario that included Herm and coaching.
