A couple of things worth noting.

1) McCain drew half of what Palin did today at his tour stop, despite the fact that he was in a 16,000 seat arena (he drew 3).
2) The McCain-Palin peeps said they drew 23K in Virginia some days ago. The number was 8K according to Bloomberg.
3) McCain is going to start planning more joint appearances with Palin, which will effectively halve his touring ability.

This may be the first election that gets determined by a VP if they win.
Weird.

Hey, if under-drawing and inflating numbers are what you need to do to pull even in Pennsylvania and Minnesota, ahead in Michigan, and within a handful of points in Washington state, Wisconsin, and New York state (!?) then I'd keep doing it. :)

If that's the case, it certainly won't be from media support.

As much as I enjoyed the SNL skit, I doubt that the majority of Republicans even watched it.

Talk about inflating numbers:

They couldn't even find enough of their own partisans to quote, they had to pad it by quoting E.J. Dionne twice. :D
