View Full Version : Elections Man, I came sooo close to interviewing Obama yesterday

It was a crazy day. I had his people on the phone with me 3 different times, preparing me for a call from Obama. They were trying to get him on during my show, 10a-3p, and they wanted to get him on before his LV event yesterday. When the oppurtunity first came down, I didnt even expect to get him at all. But as the phone calls kept coming in, it seemed like it would happen. But it didn't. :(

Oh well, It was fun preparing for an interview with a presidential candidate, thats for sure!

In case he calls in, we need to know when he thinks Metallica sold out - Ride the Lightening, the Black Album ?? Also, does he like Dave Murray or Adrian Smith better.

Thats funny. i did think of a question similar to that, or at least why doesnt he have Metallica in his IPod....If i had the chance. the real questions to ask were way more important.

Tough questions. I am not interested in spewing my political beliefs on the radio. It isnt professional in my kind of broadcasting.

I was gonna ask him personal questions about the economy, but from a personal angle. Example--has he ever had to chose what bills he wasn't going to pay do he could feed his family? Does he truly know what Americans are going thru or is he just speculating? And with the Wall Street disaster going on, what did he do with his money? Stuff along those lines.

We're a rock station that caters to males 25-54. I play ozzy and metallica all day long. So, I would of asked funny questions as well. Name the top 5 Top ramen flavors--- Just to see if he realy has ever to eat Top ramen.

I was goign to ask about Yucca Mtn, a big issue in NV, and what he thought of gambling. The Sex Ed thing going on...That sort of stuff.

I had a shitload of questions, but the bullshit ones were at the bottom in case I didnt have time.

Me too. I use to get that one all the time in my Top Ramen/Mac and cheese-in-a-box days.

My otherfave meal when i was dirt poor was cabbage and bacon. Costs about 2 bucks to eat for 3 or 4 days.
