Flash (Pen) Drive Company Policies?

Flash drives are becoming more prevalent everyday in the work place. IT managers do you have a policy in place about sensitive data and the use of flash drives? I don't know how sensitive our data would be, just some forms to fill out for headstart services, but my boss wants me to add something to the employee handbook for this technology.

I don't know where to start. I just can't go around disabling USB ports on all the compuers, how do I control this?
