The debate didn't really settle much for me.
McCain really came across to me, despite his constant theme of change, as a stuck in the past, do things as they always have been done old way of thinking type of stuck in the past guy I am not sure we need. He seems convinced that the world can be dealt with the same old ways.
I would hope that Obama would have been able to be more specific about what he might cut due to the economic crisis; of course McCain wasn't much better.
I was taken back that in my view Obama is more in touch with 21st century (Obama's term) foreign policy than McCain is.
I totally agree with Obama about taking our eye of the ball in regards to Afghanistan and Bin Laden.

If McCain came across as out of touch? Why do you think he resonated more with you?

He didn't resonate more with me; I was more impressed with Obama. Saying that; I am still not decided on who I am voting for.
Vote Libertarian, Bob Barr. Yeah, you may feel like you are wasting a vote, but a vote for Obama or McCain is also a wasted vote.

I have almost decided to go this route. I can't admit it to my husband though cuz he will never let me live it down.
Back in the day, we spent MANY hours ridiculing and laughing AT Bob Barr. He's changed, I've changed so perhaps I will vote for him this time.

Sure because you agree with which of his policies again?

They were both against the Patriot Act. And assuming that my conservative boardmate, memyselfi, wanted Bill Clinton impeached, they have that too.

Wow, especially the latter, those are some great policy reasons moving forward.

Yeah. She's thinking about voting for him now, not then. He's been pretty outspoken against it for quite some time, as I assume you know.
