He did it again tonight, the Ayatollah is the leader or Iran, he's the one who calls the shots. I don't care what any average American thinks or says about this. I don't want 'any average American' in charge of foreign policy, I'd want someone who actually knows that it's the Ayatollah who is calling the shots.

Every single time he says Akmedinjad is the leader of Iran it's him making a mistake because it isn't true. The Ayatollah is the one with the say over their foreign policy and nuclear programs.

You need to focus on your boy. How is it he wants to talk to across the table? When did the Ayatollah say that Israel should be eliminated? Who has their finger on the Iranian military?

Your perceptions about who runs Iran may be right, but it's the nut job that is hitting the airwaves and if he is willing to put out his line of hate for Israel what makes you think the Ayatollah can stop him?

Despite the title of "president," Ahmadinejad is not the leader of Iran. The leader of Iran is the current Ayatollah, not the president. The president is in charge of appointing and oversee the executive branch bureacracy, and has no actual foreign policy or military responsibilities. The Ayatollah has the final say in all decisions, and is charge of foreign and nuclear policy, and out-ranks everyone else in the country.

*sigh*

It's embarassing that he doesn't understand the power structure of Iran.

Very, considering this 24 year old average american knew that the Ayatollah is in charge in Iran. I brought this up not long ago when we were talking about negotiating with the Iranians on the nuke plant.

McCain understands who runs Iran, but he is following the Bush technique of scaring people by talking about the Iranian leader that is the scariest to most Americans.

For those who understand Persian, it's a total joke that Bushies and their water carriers keep dwelling on deliberately mistranslated phrases like "wiping Israel off the map," or "Holocaust didn't happen," "Death to America," etc. They keep scaring the American people with it to gain support for their misguided ME policies. Hannity keeps referring to the guy as "Adolph Ahmadinejad." It's just so funny, in a disgusting way.
