They are coming to Houston in December! I am SOOPER excited and plan on going. Do they still put on a good show? Tickets go on sale Oct 4. If only I had a girlfriend.

I went in... 2000 maybe? Kemper Arena in KC. It was a good show. Definitely a strange mix of people. Wouldn't have been surprised to see 40 year old hippie parents lighting one up with their 20 year old kid.

Do you know there's actually a black market for solar panels? You can buy stolen panels on eBay.

Because they go for $100 each on eBay and they're worth $1500 each.

Paid $100.00 after all the "convenience fees" were added in to see Van Halen. It's just the going rate for "famous" bands. The cost of touring has went up and these old guys have to get the money or they won't go on any long tours.

I play in a band that does all ACDC show about every 3 months or so. Our singer can dead on nail Bon Scott. I have to agree I like the older stuff better but the gap isn't that big.

Have Drink On Me and RNR Aint Noise Pollution are great songs.

As much as everyone wants to say Bon was the man, their biggest selling album ever was Back In Black.

My favorite is Dirty Deeds.

I can't wait to see them in Tulsa. I saw them in KC in 95'.

I wonder what Back in Black would have sounded like with Bon's voice?
I've read in a few places over the years that the music was already recorded and they only needed Bon's voice to do.
Apparantly it would have been the day after he died.

Hmmm...is it just me or does it seem like the tempo is jacked up throughout the song? Speeds up, slows down...doesn't sound purposeful either...

It's OK. Not great, but then again I haven't liked much of their stuff since Fly on the Wall. Johnson doesn't sound as frog-like on that track as he has lately.

I've been of the opine that they need to just hang it up...this track did not dissuade that opinion. I have to hear the rest of the album.

Did not read all the posts, but had some friends go a couple of weeks to see them plan in Oakland. They have been big fans for ever.

They loved the show and the sound. Said they can still do it and mix up all their old and new. Totally impressed. I work with one of them and he talked about it for days.

As far as how long, no actual time. But they said it was a long show. The opening band only played 2 or 3 songs and stepped aside.

Usually, when a band is touring, it's to promote their newest album. Therefore, that's probably where most of the songs will be from.

My 13 year old lives for AC/DC. I took him to the show and I bet he was the youngest there....or at least one of them. I enjoy AC/DC but don't LOVE them so I attended with some trepidation.

I had no idea that I would enjoy watching a 50 some year old running around the stage half naked, so much(and yes I am and always will be straight). I was completely entralled and so was my kid. They just played last week here in Omaha, I was working the concessions at the Qwest. I was working a bar portable, we served mixed drinks, wine and beer. The line never ended. Ever. All show long. I'm thinking, if I paid 100.00 for fuggin' ACDC tickets, I would not spend the whole show standing in line for 9$ mixed drinks. People are friggin' stupid...

That said, they sounded awesome. I snuck in for the last song (For those about to Rock) and immediately was sorry I didn't do more to get tickets to the show. Awesome. I saw them back in the late 80's, and except for some wrinkles on their faces, they rocked just as hard now as ever.

I was in 103, plenty of pot but no boobs. I was sure that brunette with the ACDC shirt was going to break them out on the jumbotron during "she's got the jack." In either event, someone got to have a ride on that afterwards...

Great concert, I half expected Angus to drop over dead at any minute. It's amazing how much energy the guy has. I also had no idea he does as many of those runs as he does with just one hand on the neck of the guitar. Brian Johnson can't hit the high notes anymore, but who really cares. They looked their age, but still badass. Hells Bells was the high point for me, though Thunderstruck does the trick as well. Wrapping up with "Let there be rock" with the montage of the Bon Scott days was pretty sweet.

I'm still trying to figure out how the 60 ft tall inflatable hooker managed to keep time with the song.

The cannons were the absolute last song, during what could be loosely considered an encore (it was pretty obvious that they were coming back out). They came back out and played Highway to Hell and For Those About to Rock.

Angus did a loooooooong solo during Let There be Rock, that was when they got the cannons set up. I'm wanting to say that's also when he got on the elevated platform.
