That was the hardest helmet to helmet it I've ever seen. It looked like his body went numb mid air. I'm praying the guy.

One of the worst hits Ive seen. One guy from behind and one helmet to helmet from the front. That type of instant stiffness could meen serious trouble.

I had just commented to a friend that it was nice to see a team still playing hard til the end even though the game was well out of reach, then two plays later... that

On the plus side it looked like he moved his hands in the tunnel

In your opinions: should they have continued to play? I think they should have knelt down, and apparently the stadium thought so as well.

from here: http://blogs.nfl.com/2008/09/28/cardinals-wr-boldin-taken-off-on-stretcher/

Anquan Boldin, Arizona’s Pro Bowl WR, was taken off the field on a stretcher after a scary collision.

Boldin was moving all his extremities on the field and was talking to his teammates coming off the field and going into the locker room. He was being taken to a hospital for precautionary reasons.

“He’s alert,” Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said. “He’s talking and moving all his extremities. He asked to get up and the doctors won’t let him.”

Late in the fourth quarter, Boldin went airborne attempting to catch a touchdown pass, but was hit from behind from Jets FS Kerry Rhodes, causing his head to snap forward, and then — almost simultaneously — was hit in the front by SS Eric Smith and Boldin’s head snapped backwards.

Both Boldin and Smith were on the ground for a while. Smith eventually got up, but Boldin stayed down not moving, as both teams gathered in a circle close by. Boldin eventually had his head immobilized, was put on a stretcher and taken off the field.

Alright, I have Fitzgerald on my fantasy team!

...is what I would post if I were a heartless jerk. That's awful. I hope Boldin recovers.

Yeah that hit was absolutely brutal. He got drilled in the back and it drove his momentum forward then he gets a helmet right in his face mask smacking his head back. He was out cold in the air before he even started coming down.

1) I wish he would have caught that TD pass, I coulda used the points this week.

2) Anyone know if he's gonna play next week? I got some other WR's on bye.

Ouch. Whoa. They said that he was wanting to get up off of the cart as they wheeled him off of the field but the trainers refused. Sounds as if he will be ok over all.
