Don't base it on historical performance, or future potential. Right now, going into Game 5, who is our best defensive lineman?

Poll coming faster than a Herm Edwards field goal decision.

Not as fast as Herm.

I've seen some good things from all of the starters aside from Hali.

Not sure but I do notice that our DEs run themselves out of plays fairly often, going way too far out and up. That said, it is probably either Turk or Tank. Haven't really noticed Dorsey, yet and it surely isn't Hali.

My dang internet keeps freezing up on me. The poll was only about as fast as a Herm Edwards decision to go for it on 1st and goal from the 1.

Tank. His run defense is phenomenal.

Dorsey made some great plays stuffing the run today.

Turk was all over the field. If Hali weren't so bad on the other side, he'd be getting a lot more opportunities to get tackles in the backfield.

I'm torn between Tank and Turk, which is a far cry from some of the discussions last year about whether they were busts. I think it just takes some playing time for players to get enough experience to learn. That said, Dorsey is ahead of where Tank and Turk were their first two years, so I'm hopeful that he's ascending quickly.

Turk's pass rush just isn't good enough right now.

Oh, and I went with Tank. I think he's a little ahead of Turk in meeting his position's specific duties. Turk's pass rush is still a step slow, though I'm pleased with him overall.

Say the Chiefs finish 3-13 and get a top 2 pick. We go with Stafford. If Julius Peppers is sitting there in FA, do the Chiefs go after him, giving you a line of Peppers, Dorsey, Tyler, McBride with Hali and Johnston as your rotational players?

Is it just me, or is that a sick ****ing defensive line?

i was worried about tank's motivation....but he has really taken a step forward

we have plenty of cap room to fill up a couple holes in free agency this year

I think Dorsey is quietly having a great season. He is taking double teams like we had hoped. Today shows what happens when our LB's finally make plays behind him.

our D line looked like they had concrete in their shoes. Dorsey was the only one that seemed to get a push.

Abso-******ing-lutely. There isn't a prospect in this draft close to Peppers, and all the rebuilding excuses in the world don't meet the massive figure which is KC's salary cap space.

You go out there and sign Peppers, sign a middling CB to be a nickel guy, sign a WR to be a No. 2 or 3, and maybe a decent backup OL. You take the QB with the top pick, best available MLB at the top of round two and then fill out with another WR, OL and DBs.

Julius Peppers has been garbage for the past two years. No way do I want to overpay his overrated ass.
