I like going to Wendy's and buying 4 or 5 cups of Chili at 1.29 per cup. Hi fiber. Good food value. Decent tasting. Yeah, I know left-over hamburgers and I'm fine w/ that.

How do you help the dollar stretch along w/ the stomach?

Box of Ramen. Bag of shredded cabbage. Dozen Eggs. Carrots. Celery. Meals for at least 12 days depending on how fast your cabbage wilts.

Fried egg sandwiches.

In college I could live for a week on two 70-cent boxes of eggs and a bag of bread.

you do know its leftover hamburgers from the previous days trash.

I had a friend that worked at Wendy's a long time ago when they first started that taco/chili bar crapathon. they used to take the leftover grease and various other unknown substances and mix it in with the chili.

sometimes if it got too thick and noticeable they would use a strainer on it....and pick out the bigger chunks.

lol at the last part. Here's the kicker w/ Aldi, their expiration dates are altered, comparatively-speaking. Somethings are good. I buy stuff for burrito's there, chips and water. But like, yougart and milk, I don't; because you have like a week to drink/eat that sh!t.

I eat a granola bar for lunch everyday.

1 box of granola bars (6) = $2.50

if I ate fast food everyday like my co-workers I'd be spending a lot of money on that

if you ate out every day you're probably gonna average around $7 a lunch

$7 X 5 days for the workweek = $35/week
$35 X 4 weeks = $140/month

I spend about $10 a month on the granola bars so I save a considerable amount of money and have even lost some lbs with this. Then I come home and have a regular dinner

Oh and I don't know if it's like this anywhere else, but here in Wichita, Wendy's raised the price of 5 chicken nuggets to $1.19....oh, and our McDonald's double cheeseburgers are like $1.89.

Now you're just makin' shit up.

Don't count on it. I made the mistake of tasting this crap once:

CINCINNATI STYLE CHILI

1 1/2 - 2 1/2 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
3/4 c. water
1 tsp. garlic salt (or 1 tsp. salt and 1/2 clove of garlic)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. chili powder 1 lg. onion, chopped fine
1/2 to 1 tsp. cayenne pepper (or two red peppers or two tsp. of hot sauce)
1/2 tsp. black pepper

The vinegar and cinnamon give the Cincinnati flavor.

Simmer the above ingredients for an hour. Add small amounts of tomato juice or water as needed throughout cooking.

To serve: Place a layer of cooked spaghetti on the bottom of each plate. Place 3 or 4 tablespoons of drained kidney or chili beans on the spaghetti. Scatter. Scatter 2 or 3 tablespoons of chopped onions on the beans. Pour 3/4 to 1 cup of chili mixture on top of the other three items. Top with scattering shredded cheese over the chili.

Cincinnati style comes from the layered effect.

Taco Burger

Is it a taco? A burger? Itís both. A hot fresh bun with our specially-seasoned Beef, shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, and our mild sauce.

A Taco John's Good Choice contains 10g or less of fat per serving.

I hate you. I grew up on Taco Johns....and they don't have that shit out here on the West Coast. The closest one that I know of is in Tucson, AZ.

On a related note, for those in Big Derrty, found out today that Pietros is having '60's Wednesdays' this month, where they price a couple of entrees at 1960 prices. The next two Wednesdays they have a chicken, veggie and mashed potato entree for $3.85, and chicken parm with mastaccoli for $2.85, 3:30 to close.
Pietros is 'The Hill' adjacent, with all that means, on Watson, just a block north of where it merges with Chippewa by Ted Drewes. They have great food, with the drawback to this deal being that they'll probably be packed. The waitress mentioned that they'd open all six '6!!!' dining rooms and the patio.
