The big dick in the sky? I hope his driver decides wisely whether he pulls into the parking spot forward, or backs in. Don't want to send the wrong message.

Yeah that might be a good idea. Gates is only a few blocks away.

The first and last campaign event I ever went to was a midnight rally at the downtown airport in KC when Gore flew in 1991 the night before the election.

you know where crown center is right?

if so just drive past the fountains (ya know that are between the ice rink/ childrens mercy and crowncenter mall area? like your going towards the plaza. just keep going and you will see ONE stoplight once you exit the tunnel that is infront of SH&B and thats where the parking usually is. there in Grand blvd right before it turns into main.

Like where? Can't do it at the stadiums because of construction and the Chiefs play on Sunday . The Sprint Center has a concert that day and no one wants to go to the dump called Kemper

The only other place that could accommodate 20,000 people maybe would be the lawn in front of the Nelson-Art Museum.

Just got back. Really cool event.

My 16 year old son got a "That One" T-Shirt.

Anyone know what they estimated the crowd at?

BigRedChief

Early estimates put the number at 75,000

KANSAS CITY, MO - The Obama campaign’s crowd count for his second rally of the day in Missouri: “At least 75,000 and still coming.”
One day total = 175,000. Not bad for a day’s work.

I went. Got there at three and didn't see squat. I was happy to see the huge numbers, but disappointed that after that huge line and wait, I could have done a lot of better things with my time.

Popularity can be a bitch sometimes. Can't blame Obama.

Where else could they have had the rally? I guess Arrowhead or the Kansas Speedway is about the only places that hold 75,000 people in this area.

Last night will be a night that I will remember forever. It seemed all of Kansas City was there. The people were all great. Lots of smiles and just a good feeling. Something was definately in the air. No matter what people say this man can bring all kinds of people together in the greatest of spirits. It was pure harmony.

The only protesters I saw were some anti abortion ones out front, they had like 6 people.

One of my friends was able to shake his hand from the edge of the stage. Im still in awe how things fell into place where we got to sit up in the bleachers.
