Vote, and then make a simple case for why you voted yea or nay.

Brought to you by your friendly non-partisain* messageboard community organizer.

* denotes being a non-partisan of the modern day, "Wonder Twin" two-party system that only actually represents a minority portion of the entire United States populace.

I am speaking of the US, we can no longer provide a manufacturing economy that competes. Service is a wide swath of scope. So whether you are a lawyer, engineer, scientist, FBI agent etc you are providing service or support of service.

I'm reading a book right now about the nature of service, and especially service oriented marketing.

It got me to thinking about all different aspects of service from business, to government, to health, and society in general. It seems everybody expects the highest level of service in all of their interactions with the outside world. And no wonder: the promise of service is everywhere you look. Businesses promise it. Government promises it. Even religion admonishes its adherents to go the extra mile for one another.

We're a society that values service, but what I'm not sure of is whether or not we are truly a "service-oriented" society in terms of being able to actually GIVE service in the actual spirit of "giving good service."
