The more I see this, the more I'm seeing that this sort of registration group is wrong. There needs to be a law put in place that organizations can only collect registrations from volunteers. Paying people to do them raises the spectre of having to hit a sales goal. That said, these registrations while fraudulent cannot really be used to effect the vote. It may have an effect on those already registered if they are using people from the phone book and may cause their registrations to come into question.

A side note here, if ACORN is paying money for every registration they end up turning in and they get federal money to operate, wouldn't they be fraudulently operating and subject to prosecution?


I thought ACORN was supposed to a non-biased non-political entity, but yet they have endorsed Obama. That doesn't sound very non-political.
