I live in KC.

But it was an overflow crowd. They delayed the start so more people could get within hearing his voice and speech.

My mom has lived down there all her life. Hard core Republican. She's voting for Obama.

My 16 year old son schleped down to her and turned her vote. He made this too.

"Springfield Public Schools officials estimated the crowd between 35,000 and 40,000."

Those are ridiculous numbers for this part of the state.

John F. Kennedy stadium is just west of Parkview High School. At 8:00, an hour before start, the line to get in was from the gate all the way filling one lane of three, all the way to Grand, 8 blocks, near Bass Pro, turning the corner at Sunshine and reaching 10 blocks going east but just on the sidewalk there. And the stadium bleachers were already full. I didn't know there were that many Democrats in 6 counties. Plenty of t-shirts and buttons and a totally civil crowd.

By comparison the Palin rally a week earlier at Bass Pro got around 15,000 and the line simply turn around the outside of the Building. No small event but was outscaled by the Obama rally.

Obama is listening to Claire McCaskill because this is exactly what she did to win her Senate seat.

The wife and I took our 6 month old to this rally last night. It was great the people were awesome. Black and white and everyone came together. The locals could not believe the size of the crowd. The whole event went very smooth. We were down on the field to the right of Barack and had a great view of the stage. Jay Nixon, Robin Carnahan and Clair M. (not even gonna try and spell that) all spoke. There were people like us from Arkansas, Oklahoma,Kansas, Texas and we saw plates from Wyoming, NY,and ALASKA!!! Only three small McCain protesters..one mother and daughter walking with Abortion signs, one car with Obama bad type stuff .com crap signs, and A FRIGGIN WHITE LEXUS SUV with McCain signs all over it and the lady driving was doing a loop of the crowd. Lot's of Boomers and tons of young America. We all had the feeling of something special was gonna happen. A great night and SW MO... you should be proud!!!! Go Chiefs!

He's still in Missouri today. Somewhere in northern Missouri still following the McCaskill political path to victory in Missouri.

I was there. It was incredible. I've heard the speech before, but that crowd was something else. I got in line at 4:30. Parked at Taco Bell on Sunshine and that is pretty much where the line was at the time. Very well staffed, had people giving us updates frequently. It was pretty well run.

I was on the field and about halfway through the speech I had 7 monstrous Secret Service guys coming through the crowd right by me. I'm a good sized guy and I felt tiny as they were standing next to me.
