Hypothetically, if somehow the consitution was thrown out the window and George W. Bush was allowed to run for a third term against either of the two current candidates, how would you vote?

I'd move to British Columbia

GWB running against McCain, I think he wouldn't get but 20-30%

GWB running against Obama, he'd get roughly 40-45%.

And I wouldn't vote for him a 3rd time.

The constitution being thrown out is a hypothetical?
Anway, I still would've voted third party.

holy crap

i would vote for EITHER of these candidates before George W Bush.

GWB is one of the worse, IF NOT THE WORST, president in the history of the United States of America.

this isn't really a serious question ... is it?

Zomg ...... Dubya should be in jail, the the white house.

For full disclosure, I'm mostly interested to see how the McCain supporters feel about Obama vs. Bush. I'd imagine that most Obama supporters already feel like Bush is the root of all evil, so there probably won't be many who would pick Bush over McCain. But you never know.

to say that i would vote for McCain with Palin is huge.

seriously Palin should be running for PTA or something .... i still can't believe he picked such a buffoon.

and yet i would still take McCain over Bush

hell i would rather have nobody as vice president than Cheney/Rove.

McCain wouldn't be as bad as Bush.

Palin would be.

I think I may have not understood the point of the poll. If you are an Obama supporter is there some idiot that would actually choose Bush over Obama?

If the Constitution was to just be thrown out why would Bush even run against anyone? I think that if this happened he would just assume control if there is no longer a constitution at all.

I hate to go as far as to say that time will end up telling how bad or maybe good he will rank, but it is the truth. It is not looking good for him so far though. I would say that he is one of the worst that has served more than one term. I would also say that he is as bad as Andy Jackson and Woody Wilson. If it was not for how bad they were he would take the prize. I am pretty sure that most would agree that there is not any way at all that he should have served two terms. One term is actually open to debate. I would rather not open the can of worms concerning the 2000 Election. We all know that will not lead anywhere.

I supported McCain against Bush last time, but he's really changed since then. He doesn't stand for half the things he used to which makes me believe he is controlled by lobbiests.

WTF did he "stand for" before? I hear this line all the time. "McCain used to be a maverick, but now he has changed".

IMO it's bullshit. He was a petulant ass after he lost the republican primary to W, so he did everything he could to be an obstructive prick in the Senate.

He's still a petulant prick IMO. I cannot believe the R's were stupid enough to vote him as their candidate. I'm still like "WTF? Seriously?"

I'd vote in this order: McCain, Bush, Obama. Bush is bad, but if I'm going to get socialism I'd rather see it accompanied by some decent Supreme Court picks.

Just covering all the possibilities. That's the survey researcher in me.

Bush would have trouble reaching 30% and would probably have so many 3rd party candidates coming out against him the he might not even finish 2nd.
