Mac makes appearance on Halloween weekend--plenty of opportunity for Mac to show his reasonably good sense of humor. Affleck guest host. Hope he gets crumpled like Croyle on a qb scramble on Tuesday, but it'd be nice to see some personality redemption for the crazy old Coot.

The cold open, Olbermann sketch and McCain WU bit were all great.
This episode wasn't as top-to-bottom funny as last week's, but it was still quite good. People who refuse to watch SNL because "LIKE IT SO SUCKS ANYMORE CUZ LIKE BELUSHI DIED AND SHIT" are really missing out.

Is it just me, or did McCain's appearances tonight feel a lot like Huckabee's back when he had been mathematically eliminated and yet hadn't dropped out? There was a certain air of peaceful resignation about him, like he had pretty much accepted his fate.
That's just what I took away from it.

Opening skit a little bit lame, Tina Fey was not even all that funny until the going rogue part kicked in, though that 1st Amendment reference was pretty good. McCain would have been better had he been smoother like he was at the New York dinner.

Yes.
That was a sad admission on his part, no doubt.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have allowed the Palin 2012 bit, the "Joe the Plumber" jab, et al.
He's definitely come to terms with the fact he's going to lose.
Bar voter fraud...

Bar voter fraud...I have definitely seen him funnier. The skit where he goes over strategies in his final days was especially weak, though Sad Granpa was a funny bit inside the skit.
