I mean...a black president is going to piss a lot of people off.

We've got people shouting "KILL HIM" at REPUBLICAN rallies. I'm prepared to accept the reality that we might have someone take a potshot.

Attempts or plots of attempts are made on Every single US president, and probably candidate.

Obama has already had plots against him foiled.

The "kill him" was prooven a lie.

I sure hope not, they better not kill our President. The populous of this country has spoken, the highest voter turn out I can ever remember. They want him for their President.

I hope they are right and we are not all disapointed.

What about impeachment and removal from office? Obama's bound to make a bad mistake or two in his first year.

Depends on how you define attempt.

Will someone get a shot off? Probably not.

Will some sort of plan be dreamt of? I can almost garauntee.

America will go to 3rd world status if he's capped. Riots in the street, absolute crash of the economy, and more than like a huge drop in the esteem the rest of the world views the nation as America's second most left wing candidate in the last 100 years is felled by a citizen.

I certainly hope not. I am a republican an am saddened by the hate. However, an rational person has to know that it is the extreme minority who thinks that.

I also think that what you are refering to in shouting "kill him" were people saying that about Bill Ayers...not that it is ok, but it wasn't about Obama

I've also heard of a man making a reference to taking out Obama himself, then getting his residence searched by 12 SS agents after someone reported the comment.

In defense of this one Clayton pops in every once in awhile, but he doesn't hang out here by any means.

This is hardly a landslide.

Just wait until the West Coast reports.

So far Obama has taken all of 1 state the Bush had...New Mexico. That's it. Can we wait for the votes before we decalre this the biggest landslide in history? I don't think this even matches Reagan does it?

I'm just saying. It has been very close in total popular vote but the west coast is very left-leaning and yet to report.

The proverbial "popular vote". I don't knwo where you live but here in the midwest we don't need people in NY and LA telling us how to live.

The Framers were smart when they developed the Electoral system

The popular vote is a skewed number

Hey, it's a great quote.

It actually is. My favorite quote (and I am going to make myself look like such a loser) is : "There are 10 kinds of people in the world. Those who understand binary and those who don't." ROFLROFLROFL

There won't be anyone to impeach him for at least 2 years so that's really not a practical possibility.
