The guy calls 8 Marines murderers in cold blood, they're found innocent by an independent investigation, Murtha doesn't apologize and is back in.

How in Gods name can this sound right to anyone?

And equally repugnant Republican statements exist. So take it up on the Eagles or Steelers site.

I'm just really trying to figure out what's happened to this country. At one time men like those were considered heros, now they're called killers.

Well if that's true then Murtha is a hero. If you remember he did serve and is a hero by your standards.

But that's cool, right, because he's a Republican.

I mean Murtha had the gall to say stuff you didn't like, but all poor Stevens did was be convicted by a jury of nine counts of corruption and bribery.

Same could be said for Ted Kennedy. I seen people make every excuse under the sun to excuse the murder. I even had someone tell me it wasn't murder, but that it was man-slaughter.

Actually, the "them" I was talking about were posters here at ChiefsPlanet, but I'm sure that the description fits many of his constituents as well.

Repercussions? he was re elected in a landslide.Evidently, that was what his constituency saw fit. You appear to have a Palin-esque view of the first amendment.

This I agree with. I am not a Murtha fan and he probably shouldn't have been re-elected after what he said.

Also Ted Stevens should have never been re-elected but that is not going to matter because they are going to throw him out of the Senate.
