I like this game for KC. Bush is out, LJ is back, Dorsey and Bowe are playing against their home town team with lots of family coming up, KC's o-line is doing ok. What I worry about is Brees, he's been playing well. Besides Carr who is going to Cover NO's receivers?

What do you guys think? I'm in Vegas right now.

Bowe is from Florida. But about the bet, you should take it.

Who will be KC's starting DB's and who will be the Nickel? According to the Star Flowers and Surtain are out.

I would say no, but I'm a conservative gambler.

Well that, and LSU is in Baton Rouge...not New Orleans.

He should get a head start and be able to see where he should cut better and then he can bowl somebody over.

I think that the offense is going to look worse with LJ either that or they'll be heavily predictable basically only running when he's in...

This should lead to some interesting talk tomorrow.

I know all that stuff. Point is they want to play well as LSU alums and both have said they are having a lot of family up for this game.

When you spread out the field a RB has to be able to block and catch....if he can't it fucks it up, either that or he comes out on every passing play telling everyone what you're doing.

I seem to remember one hell of a screen play that went to LJ for a touchdown against Arizona a couple years back. So whats your point?

1 play doesn't mean he's good at it....if he was he wouldn't be taken out of the teams 3rd down offense or 2 minute offense packages.

I think that is more to give Charles touches than anything else.

I'd hope LJ is on a very short leash. One poor effort at pass-blocking in this offense, and he should never see the field again.

I don't think LJ is going to play much tomorrow. When questioned about it throughout the week, Herm was very evasive. Stuff like, "He'll be in the mix."

Sounds to me like Savage is going to see the bulk of the action. LJ in obvious short-yardage situations.

I think they win in an upset if they can run the Thiggy Offense, play decent 2nd half D and let LJ and Charles grind it out in the 2nd half. I don't think this team has quit on Herm.

I want to know how a team with no pass rush and basically 1 corner is going to defend Drew Brees.

It'll be the same as usual. Look good for awhile, even jump out to a 10 point lead. Play like ass the second half and lose a close one. We decry progress, Herm blames another injury, wash rinse repeat.

For a man's household management and/or watching a Chiefs game. (if not winning one)

That would work for me if they only lose by < 5 1/2

If it were me, I wouldn't take it. There's two scenarios, the one I described(toss up between a FG loss or a TD loss), or a repeat of the Atlanta game.

The game is in KC. I'm just saying Baton Rouge and New Orleans are the same fanbase and Bowe and Dorsey should be primed for good games.

I wouldn't take it heads up either. What I'm thinking about doing is taking KC and the points, and Indy and lay the 7.5 at home against the Texans. The parlay pays 2.6 to 1 and makes it a better return for the risk.

Roo,
You should be just fine. The Chiefs will cover that number up until there's about 2.5 seconds left in the game when they'll somehow give up a safety and then let the Saints run back a TD before the end of regulation to lose by 8 points. We're getting used to fresh and exciting ways for the Chiefs to lose.

Yeah but they get Wayne, Gonzalez and probably Sanders back this weekendm at home in a division game they need to win to stay in contention.

I'd take the money line on the Chiefs...the Saints are an awful road team and probably, actually IMO easily the worst team we've played in the last four weeks (New York, Tampa, @ San Diego)...

Too many unknowns for the Chiefs this week to lay any money down on the game either way. They could be the same, improved, or worse. The problem is no one knows, the horrid injuries on D, the return of LJ, and playing at home after some nice outings.

KC has had the chance for the back-ups to the back-ups to play last week. Even 1 game of experience will help them. My biggest fear is the Chiefs regress to r2p2 since they got their "power running back" back on the field.

without Flowers and Surtain. We must have serious pressure on Breesy.
