The following teams have a significant chance of winning 10 games AND not making the playoffs (% probability of the team finishing with 10 wins and missing the playoffs is listed)

Tampa 23%
Carolina 10%
Dallas 24%
Atlanta 22%
Baltimore 5%
Jets 16%
New England 18%
Washington 28%
Miami 26%
Philadelphia 3%
New Orleans 12%

That seems pretty amazing to me. Mean while Denver, Arizona and the NFC North winner could coast in with 8 or 9 wins. The distribution of good teams across divisions seems to be pretty lopsided this year. I'm not in favor of changing the playoff or division structure, but found this to be interesting.

Denver is going to be like a bye week
as would SD if they could have clinched

Herm successfully steered us around this potential disaster.

And thank god for that, it really sucked when it happened to us in 2005. I'd hate to go thru that again.

Perhaps. It depends on which Denver team shows up. The Donks are unpredictable this year, but then again most young teams are.

Clearly it doesn't mean anything...but the Donks are 4-2 against teams listed in the initial post.
