KUís Reesing, Stuckey earn Big 12 player of the week honors

By J-W Staff Reports

Kansas football players Todd Reesing and Darrell Stuckey earned Big 12 player of the week honors after helping the Jayhawks to a 40-37 victory over Missouri on Saturday.
Reesing was named the conference's offensive player of the week, while Stuckey was honored as the league's defensive player of the week.
Reesing finished 37-for-51 with 375 passing yards and four touchdowns. He also led KU to a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns, including the game-winning TD pass to Kerry Meier with 27 seconds left.
Stuckey, meanwhile, had a hand in three MU turnovers. He had two interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He also had a pass breakup and tied for the team lead with six tackles.
Stuckey became KU's first defensive player to win a conference weekly honor since Charlton Keith in 2005.
The Jayhawks (7-5, 4-4) will know of their bowl destination by Sunday.

They deserve it, they played their asses off in really shitty weather when their season was going down the tanker.

MU DOES NOT HAVE ANY DEFENSE. Reminds me of the 2003 Chiefs

I thought the D was supposed to be good this year. They had a guy on covering the Tigers and he said before the start of the season the D was incredible and was slowing down the O in practice.

The most obvious problem is the mental breakdowns in the secondary.

Zo Williams was the heart and soul of that MU defense last season.

MU's secondary is just crap, partially they can't get ANY pressure up front.

Alex Henery of Nebraska was the ST player of the week also.
