View Full Version : Science String Theory & Imagining the Tenth Dimension
I thought this was fantastic. I hadn't ever seen the idea of the 10-dimensional universe explained this way. The key detail that helped me understand it in my mind, is the 7th dimension.
Dimensions 1-3 are easy.
Dimenion 4 is "duration" (time)... easy too.
Dimension 5 & 6 are time travel (interesting that time is effectively 3 dimensional)
Dimension 7 addresses alternate "infinite" universes created by different initial conditions of the big bang. The other universes have different rules than ours (ie, gravity rules are different there, etc).

Repost, but yeah, you're right. It's very cool. Worth the repost, IMO.

String theory's been debunked for a couple years now.
It hasn't been debunked any more than it's been proven or falsified.

He beat me to the punch, therefore this post is in the sixth dimension.
I hear that the 8th is where bigfoot resides.

Imagine cheerios in a bowl, only when the two collide they either destroy each other or combine.
Really, if you care enough to follow theory you can, it's the math that's such a bastard...
