I saw an amusing video this morning. Basically, a cute penguin finds an inventive way to avoid death by Killer Whale consumption.

Thsi brought to mind, however, another recent item that I saw on TV. I love Killer Whales, which are not at all dangerous to humans (normally), and are very smart, effective hunters. I found the critical part of the vide on YouTube, and it shows how a pod of them skillfully get a "beached" sea lion back into the water to serve as an appetizer.

My first thought after seeing the little guy jump into the boat was "how cute". My second thought was "hey, I'm in a little dingy in freezing waters surrounded by killer whales who just saw their lunch hop into my boat. Maybe Opus needs to go back to swimming, because cute or not, he ain't worth my life to save."
So what would you have done? Shelter the cute little bird, or make him "swim with the [very large, carnivorous] fishes [mammals, in this case, but let's not be technical]"?
Poll to follow.
