You guys are reaching for stuff to criticize about. These are just clips of small talk. No more, no less. I don't know how that clip can be confused for hot air.

It sure does go against the idea pitched around, though, that he shows no emotion on the sidelines. That's for sure.

Every second during an NFL game is critical time. It should not be wasted.

Yet Herm is walking around uttering great strategy tips like "We gotta run it some and pass it some."

Based on everything we know about the guy - 14-999 record since 2005 or whatever, terrible X's and O's coach, has a history of saying dumb things - the video doesn't exactly inspire confidence, y'know?

Remind us again how many sidelines you have walked and/or coached on
at a professional level?

More precisely, what makes you an authority about how a coach should conduct himself on the sideline?

Why would anybody take up for his ass? I don't get it myself. NCAA films might fit better. This is his best "stuff" given that he knew it was recorded.

I don't think I've ever seen Herm yelling at the refs during a game before.

I thought the ref's reply was almost more interesting. While I think Tyler slid too late to be considered protected, the ref's response that he didn't think the defender hit him (at all) was just stupid. If that's what he thought, our ref crews are in worse shape than I thought.

Not even Herm's gameplan can be summed up in 15 seconds. The editors clearly were looking for emotional responses and one-liners (however lame) to tie together the highlights, not breakdown the Chiefs strategy.

Herm may be a "complete moron," but this video in no way proves or disproves it. That ref however...:doh!:

Not at all, glad Herm actually got to the ref to harass him. At least shows that he was trying to protect his players and stick up for them IMO. A little emotion goes a long way towards earning respect from these young guys. Could you have imagined if Marty was on the sideline when that happened?

You seem to be a little slow here....

The Chiefsplanet lexicon includes incorrect words and phrases that have been repeatedly uttered by idiots so many times that they become "accepted" spellings in which we all know they're spelled incorrectly, but we gain amusement in using them. It's a little way to make fun of idiots. Not unlike yourself....

You could find a clip of Bill Bellichick, I'm sure, asking for a drink of water. You should probably watch a highlight reel of Bill Cowher and watch how many times he's talking strategy. Cowher's an awesome X's and O's coach, but that's not the type of stuff that would make a highlight reel.

You're reaching.

Tyler Thigpen has probably been hit ten times while sliding feet first this season, with no flag.

I loved the ref telling Herm, "I thought he missed."

Wow, it wasn't that line judge's call, but where the hell was the umpire on that call ?

That was almost as glaringly obvious as the Ryan Sims belly flop.

As far as Herm,

Everyone, including me, was b*tching about him handcuffing Chan early on, but now when he just tells him "gotta move the ball, throw it and pass it some" some people are b*tching about that too.

Now do you want him to leave Chan alone, or not?

If anything, I like that he said "gotta pass it some" instead of "conservative, conservative, conservative".
