View Full Version : Chiefs What say you!? Does LJ make it over 1,000 yards this season?

12-04-2008, 03:14 PM
As it stands right now LJ is at 657 yards. We have 4 games to go and he is averaging 4.6 ypc and 17.9 att/g. That is 329.36 yards on average for 4 games, allowing him to come up just under 14 yards short of 1000 at 986.36 yards.

I realize few care. Mostly I am bored and waiting to go to class.

I dont think he makes it to 1000 yards.

On a side note, do you think, if he stays with us or not, this season extended his career by cutting his load per game almost in half, and by how much? All character issues aside.

I just thought I should share Tony G's stats as well! (http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?archive=false&seasonType=REG&d-447263-o=2&statisticPositionCategory=TIGHT_END&conference=null&d-447263-s=RECEIVING_RECEPTIONS&experience=null&d-447263-n=1&season=2008&qualified=true&Submit=Go&tabSeq=1&d-447263-p=1)

He is a ****ing beast! 50 of his 73 receptions have gone for first downs. He is currently on track for 1078 yards this season and 97 receptions. Does he break 1100 and 100 respectively?

I think Tony makes it over 1100 yards, and I think he makes it to 100 receptions. Basically he is going to tie his production from last season.
I think Tony G ends up with 8 TD's on the season.

D. Bowe is on track for almost the exact same stats he had last year. He will end up (using averages) with 1001 yards and 80 receptions.

I think he breaks 1000 yards, barely, and ends up with 8TD's on the year.

I fear Tony may disappear into the sunset after this season, but I love seeing Bowe stay consistent (especially since he avoided the sophomore slump), and hope he really starts to catch on next year and turn out some huge numbers. It may be more difficlut though if he is the primary guy and we havent found a better WR lineup with Tony G missing.

Both break 1,000! LJ stays with the Chiefs!

Well we are playing Denver this week....

I think it will be close.

He has 2 really soft run defenses to face in Denver and Cincinnati.

He has 2 middle-of-the-road run defenses to face in San Diego and Miami - both at home.

Personally, I don't think either SD or Miami are as good as the numbers suggest, hell, the Dolphins gave up almost 100 to Steven Jackson last week in 3 quarters.

I think he'll be within 50 yards either side of 1000...

On the bright side,

LJ's touches are waaay down this season!

I believe he makes his 1000 with room to spare. Herm will probably feed Denver a pretty steady dose of LJ. If nothing else it should increase any off-season value he may have.

I'm gonna go with no.

12-04-2008, 03:42 PM
I think all three will break 1000 yards.

I wonder what these guys numbers would have looked like if Thigpen would have started since week 1?

12-04-2008, 03:43 PM
Well, if he does break 1000 yards that would be quite an accomplishment considering that he will have done it in only 12 games. Not too mention that our right side of the line sucks, and our spread offense is not run friendly. He is currently ranked 7th in yds/game. Not bad for a running back who was supposed to be done after breaking the carries record. (according to Mecca)

I'm gonna go with "meh"

I am going with "print'em"... Herm is going to ride LJ to the playoffs and the Big Bowl!

I'm going with OnTheWarpath58 on this one. LJ will be within 50 either way of the 1000yd mark. I see Tony easily getting 1000+yds, therefore boosting his trade value. D-Bowe will just like last year IMO just miss 1000 yds. He is simply dropping too many right now. However if this is his sophmore slump than I'm really excited to see what he is going to do in the future.

Weather forecast for Pile High on Sunday is partly cloudy, high of 56.

Our team is awesome.

He could have one really good game and coast in the rest and make it.

But I really don't give a shit one way or another.

I say no on LJ but it will be close...

I think all three will break 1000 yards.

I agree.
Johnson's got the toughest road ahead of him, but I think 1 big game will go a long way.

LJ always goes off on the Donkos. He'll crack 1000.
