View Full Version : Chiefs Any chance of beating the Broncos tomorrow?

I'm know I'm crazy for thinking there might be one thread about the game... but anyway.

Here's the scoop - this team sucks so bad that I decided not to waste my time and money going to sports bars to watch them lose this year. Consequently I've really no idea what improvements any of you have seen since Thigpen emerged.

Is there even a remote chance we pull off the sweep, or is it going to be like last years 42 - 7 shellacking that I watched at pile high... in the freezing cold... with ice melt dripping on me from the lights?

Almost?

It's been what 7 years now?

8 years.

But I doubt it will be the same kind of shellacking that we saw last year.

Neither team can play defense.

It'll probably be something like a 38-24 Donkey win.

Yep not since Sep. 24 2000. i was there and had to leave early to catch a flight so i couldn't savor the donkey defeat.

My guess is we bust off an early lead off some Cuntler INTs. Then Herm goes into his patented shell and only allows horizontal passes, because, as we all know, "we were only up one score. You can't throw when you're only up one score."

Annnnnd then we lose.

Probably not.

But as bad as Denver seems to play at home, and against bad teams, there's no telling.

Nothing would surprise me.

Nothing.

This is the game where Thigpen officially introduces himself to the AFC West.

They pull out a win and go home with the keys.

I would be inclined to say there is no chance but that is what I thought about the Bronco game earlier this year and somehow those mischevious fates wove in every conceivable way for the Broncs to hand us the game so... who knows? The whole AFCW is like a milkshake but, instead of a delicious milkshake made with real vanilla ice cream and maybe some Kahlua, it is a milkshake made by the producers of two girls, one cup and it leaks out of your tv every Sunday, stinging your eyes and making a terrible mess that not even the quicker-picker-upper can clean in one or two or even four offseasons.

True. But regardless of how Herman thinks the league has yet to give a win to the team that scores fewer points... to my knowledge at least.

If the Chargers can somehow win @ KC, @ TB, vs. Denver

And Denver loses 2 of these 3 - KC, @ CAR, BUF

Then the Bolts make the playoffs, I am still praying.

We're only 8.5 point dogs. Before we went to the spread, we would have been 18.5 point underdogs.

Well, I hope the Chargers lose to KC then win out. I hope Denver loses every game they have left. You still make the playoffs and the Chiefs go 4-12 with all 4 wins coming from the AFC west.

Thats very unlikely to happen, but if you would have asked me how unlikely the chances were of the Chargers being 5-8 after 13 games, my answer would have been: "Very"

aisle 6, right next to the home pregnancy tests and the feminine health care products.

shit, you can kill two birds with one stone. vagisil for how horrible your team has played this year (and expected to ROCK THIS SHIT OUT OF EVERYBODY ELSE), and lube so you can...(you don't always gotta fuck her hard. in fact, sometimes, that's not right. to do.)

They did 5 or 6 years ago when I went and we were so freakin cold we took the girls and left in the 3rd quarter. Bolts ruled that game, then we were listening in the truck on the way to dinner as the Chiefs made a furious comeback only to have the Bolts put the game on ice as we got to the restaurant. Damn Bolts.

This season has been like a nightmare. Spread formation? Pistol offense? Wildcat? Give me back my NFL football please.

:spock: Yeah, that 24 points a game they are scoring since going to that shitty spread really does suck doesn't it. I'd really love to go back to scoring 10 game like earlier in the season.
