And the hosting honor goes to Hugh Jackman. People's reigning Sexiest Man Alive has been chosen to host the 81st annual Academy Awards ceremony, to take place Feb. 22 The Australia star, 40, who'll be hosting the Oscars for the first time, was selected "because we want the ceremony to be fun," says Laurence Mark, producer of the telecast. "He can hold the screen and he can hold a stage. It doesn't hurt that he looks amazing in a tuxedo and he's the Sexiest Man Alive." Jackman won an Emmy in 2005 for hosting the 59th annual Tony Awards in 2004. He was also nominated as host of the Tonys in 2005. ABC will broadcast the Oscar ceremony live from the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles on Feb. 22.

Wolverine is the man. I especially liked the movie when Wolverine and Batman were in the same movie. I think it was called the Prestige. Now only if Wolverine, Batman, and The Hulk could work together I'm sure it would be a legendary flick. All great actors but why is the wolverine going to be in a suit at the oscars?

People actually watch the Oscars?Generally only for Billy Crystal. The year Steve Martin hosted was just as great though but they never invite him back because he made fun of everybody and didn't give a shit who got hurt.

He's a huge star on Broadway as well.

I could really care less who host the Oscars because it's not about the best picture, best actor, etc., it's about who panders to the voters the most (i.e. spiffs, parts, etc.).

I know. I don't know how people can watch award shows. Hours of ass kissing.
