View Full Version : Chiefs So We're Picking Somewhere Between 2 and 4 Correct?

It's between us, the Rams, and Seahawks, correct?

If we lose next week and:

Rams win we pick 2
Rams lose we pick 3

If we win next week and:

Seahawks lose we pick 4

Is that correct?

Being that the Chiefs can't do anything right, I see them picking 4th.

It really doesn't matter where we pick. We need to make a major play to move up for Stafford.

Hell I dont remember what I picked? I thought I picked somewhere between 3-13 and 5-11....

LOL. I just didn't know if Seahawks' 3-13 would trump our 3-13. If it doesn't then it seems it really is down to us and the Rams (who of course blew a 4Q lead today)...

I agree on the Stafford thinking. We need to start this rebuild with a young franchise QB. We have a awesome young backup, lets compliment him with a true #1 QB.

Most likely. Your analysis ignores the slight chance that we could still pass the Rams on the SOS tiebreaker, but is close enough.

Seattle has a weaker SOS as of now and would probably pick before us if we both ended up at 3-13.

Hard to make a call with the new GM to yet be named but KC doesn't have a history of trading up all that much.

I guess it could change but with Clark dedicated to building young I don't see us giving up a bunch of picks to draft a few spots higher.

so the rams are looking at QB?

As young as the defense already is, I would like to see us add a few vets with leadership qualities, a real DC, and maybe a young LB or two in the draft. I hope we focus on QB, OT, and LB in the first 3 rounds. Lets sell out and get a veteran DE in free agency.

the most important pick in the last 20 years
is Clark's
I hope he gets his first pick

2,3,or 4, no biggie. We need to build that D...even in Pigpens struggles today, they put up 31.
DE, LB and an O line man are needed ahead of QB.

I just checked and it is mathematically impossible for us to have a weaker SOS than Seattle. If we are both a 3-13, they will draft first.

so the rams are looking at QB?

It's a possibility. Bulger is getting constantly injured or is ineffective, and their back-up QB is at retirement age.

whoa! IF we are 3-13ROFL
2-14 gets us #3 and Herm and Gun fired.

Well, we are playing the Bengals, so who knows.

I think all signs point to Herm being gone next year regardless of the outcome of that game.

Great info thanks. So basically we can't do worse than 4th and no better than 2.

Here's my view (for what it's worth).. I don't think it will really matter if we pick 2nd or 3rd. The Lions will pick Stafford if he comes out. The Rams are going to go for an offensive lineman. Any comments???

I'd be okay with that -- even though I think Thigpen is showing enough to get a shot at being the starter next season I also don't mind grabbing a QB in the first round...

That's if there is a QB worth picking with the second or third pick of course...

If I was them I would be. At the very least I'd pretend I was to see if you could get something in trade.

Bad news. You guys have a pretty darned good chance of winning next week.

What about this Defense-that should be the priority imo.

ROFL We will probably be up by 5 tds with 3 minutes to play and miss 5 straight onside kicks that lead to TD's.

Herm will have that same bewildered look he always does-and say something after the game like-we just need to work harder-blah blah blah

Chiefs will surrender first round pick in return for permanent rights to Herm and Dick Curl. Then the earth will explode.

I think the Rams take an OT for sure, so don't worry too much about them.

Did anyone catch the replay of that TX HS FB game, they replayed it because it was played on Cowboys' field and their stadium is closing.

Down around 24 with 3 minutes left, score and recover 3 [three!!] onside kicks to go up four. So they kick off regular, and the other team returns the kick for a TD.

I don't think we can pick lower than 3rd with the Raiders and Seahawks both winning today with 4 wins, and even a win next week keeps Cincy above us with their 1.5 game lead.
